    "The staff was friendly, but not always helpful to needs. Messages were left ,but not given to us at the front desk. Overall, you get what you pay for. It is what it is. London is so expensive." (108716990)

    hotel was next to railway, convenient to the O2 arena and other tube stop. Easy to get to everywhere. Cheaper than other hotels. Clean and water was always hot.

    No internet computer or phone available for guests. Small rooms with no place to put clothes or put suitcase. No shampoo or hair dryer.

    CityStay Hotel was an excellent location for us as we have friends who live close by and the Central Line and DLR just minutes away. The staff were lovely and even admitted that they like to treat their guests like family. They had a kitchen stocked with fresh food and the tea and coffee, bananas and cereal were all complimentary! The ingredients to a fry up were all provided and for 3 GPB you could prepare yourself a great breakfast! You can't catch a deal like that anywhere in dear London! The amenities, the staff and the cleanliness of the rooms and hotel were pleasant surprises.

    The hotel is located on a main road and it was noisy at night. Perhaps a room in the rear of the building would be better?

    bed very clean, tea coffee food available free of charge. reception staff very helpful.

    TV in bedroom not tuned in properly. reported this to reception - advised to leave it on for a while and it would be ok. but this did not improve the reception.

    Refurb. to hotel. Very nice beds. Very clean and new bathrooms. Nice free tea and coffee in lounge, for £3 a day you can eat a varied selection of food or cook your own. Have stayed a couple of times great.

    Polite and helpful staff. Everything is very new and clean. Good value for money.

    Breakfast - was ordered but not remembered. Cereals were OK. The only cooked choice was eggs. Toast was warm bread. Also room and en suite were a bit cramped.

    New bed, new duvet, lucky to have window out to the back (away from very busy road), very clean new looking bed linen

    Loads of hair stuck to the plug in the bathroom sink. Everything else very clean!

    Clean, friendly. Next door to DLR (literally) so v.convenient.

    Litter outside belies conditions indoors. Not keen on bars on windows - appreciate this is probably security but in case of fire how does one escape?
