    Zeer goed hotel wanneer alleen overnachting is gewenst. Uitstekend ontbijt.

    prima kamer en sanitair, personeel/eigenaar zeer voorkomend en gastvrij.Uitstekend ontbijt. Bovendien werd op verzoek een uitstekend restaurant aanbevolen. Hotel bevindt zich in klein, rustig dorp op zeer korte afstand van Canterbury.

    geen, of het moest zijn dat rond 08.00 uur bij geopende ramen het verkeerslawaai wat toeneemt.

    Lovely hotel, room in excellant condition, overall quality and service very good

    Only one problem, mattress was a little hard so had problems settling

    "Very good and would thoroughly recommend it. We have stayed in central Canterbury before, paid more and had far inferior accommodation, it is worth coming just outside Canterbury to the Pilgrims' Rest. The owners are really welcoming and it seems nothing is too much trouble for them." (108132547)

    Very friendly owner, very clean, comfortable & charming accommodation. Very good public areas. Excellent breakfast with a wide choice of items, more the sort of choice you would expect from a 4* hotel! We had an evening meal there as well and that was very tasty, ample portions and the steak was cooked exactly as requested. There is a small bar which is nice and they make excellent coffee.

    The only point was that we got some noise from the en-suite in the adjacent room - particularly from the use of the bin! However this is a minor point compared with the overall experience.

    Very welcoming and comfortable hotel

    The only suggestion we could make is that the cooked breakfast could be larger in quantity and it would be good to offer vegetarian option ie. vege sausage/vege bacon.

    Quiet,unfussy,good choice at breakfast,facilities (shower etc) all functional,parking off road,local bus service excellent.

    Friendly and helpful staff, great for local advice. We were recommended a country pub in the next village for dinner which was delicious. Great breakfast and excellent overall value for money. The room was spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated.

    On site parking and excellent breakfast included are a big plus and it is very useful to be able to dine in on the first night in a new area.

    Very clean, well decorated, friendly and informative welcome. Great breakfast - liked the presentation of jam and marmalade in tiny china bowls not plastic cartons - top coffee, fresh fruit and meusli as well as full english. Firmish bed which was good for us and really good quality TV in the room. Huge bathroom. Great.

    Breakfast was very good. Gentleman running the hotel on the Sunday was very friendly

    Airless room with depressing decor. No milk provided for tea/coffee. Woman running the hotel on the Saturday was not friendly and had no charm.
