    The staff where very friendly & the cooked reakfast was excellent

    The shower in the bathroom was terrible, just a dribble of water. The standard of the bathroom needs to be modernised.

    Reception staff were very helpful, excellent location, overall very good.

    There were some loose tiles in the shower area of the bathroom and no bath!

    Situación excelente. Buena accesibilidad. El estado de la casa y la habitación también muy correctos.

    El desayuno inglés está muy bien, pero para estancias de más días podría resulta muy pesado y repetitivo.

    Staff warm, friendly and helpful

    Recognise newness of ownership (4 weeks). Premises very tired and needing a revamp. Shower facility basic and probably unsafe (mixing temperature from taps) - no indication of safety feature. Stayed on 2nd floor - poorly ventilated although fan provided

    For me the best point was the possibility to stay at the hotel,with our dog.

    No restaurant open in the evening.

    The hotel is in a quiet location in a cul-de-sac, has some character, and is in easy walking distance of the city centre (Petergate). My twin room was cheerful, with well-maintained facilities and a comfortable (firm) bed. The breakfast provides a hearty start.

    Coffee was on offer at breakfast but didn't find a teapot! Pillows were a bit on the thin side.

    Central location, close to footbal ground and city centre, top location and free on site parking

    Lots of pigeon pooh, about. Dont park under the trees

    "We had been extremely happy with our visit and had been planning to return when next we are in York. However, at £70 a night we expect a very much higher quality breakfast than the one we got. We will not now be returning. A good breakfast is an important start to a day exploring!" (107643757)

    The room was beautiful and the facilities were excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. I could use the hotel's wifi at full strength even right up in our attic bedroom.

    The breakfast was extremely disappointing. It seemed to be made up of supermarket value ingredients and most of it was entirely tasteless or even inedible. I suspect it had been pre-prepared and kept warm. It appeared much too quickly after we ordered it to have been cooked to order

    location very good. staff pleasant and helpful. breakfast good.

    Bedroom was tired and in need of total refurbishment. The lighting was dim and dismal. The fact that the bathroom was very small was exacerbated by the lack of towel rails and shelves to hold our toiletries etc.

    Location, only a short walk to the city centre, available car parking.

    Hotel needs a thorough makeover. Furniture is cheap. Room was extremely cold on arrival and took a long time to warm up. There was NO hot water for washing in the morning.

    "Distinctly average. Why do hotels always allocate the smallest room when they are empty and obviously have better rooms available? Hardly creates the right impression. thats why frequent travellers use Travel lodges consistant room size, facilities etc." (107101623)

    Room was very small and location not indicated. Bathroom was minute and smelt damp and musty. Socket for kettle was broken.

    Booking and check-in was quick and easy. Breakfast was very nice.

    The room was cramped and tired, nothing like the pictures on the website. The price was too high for this standard of room.

    Good size room, Staff very helpful, Room clean, excellent large breakfast

    Decor of room was dated, Bedhead was loose and needed adjustment, bed not very comfortable.
