    "Very good. Although the pub/restaurant was closed we did receive a phone call from the owners informing us of this prior to arriving. Unfortunately, one of the reasons I had booked this hotel was because there was a restaurant attached to save having to go elsewhere. Their website does now specify when they are closed but it was a little disappointing. However, that said, Willie, who met us and checked us in, was very helpful and suggested a number of eateries within easy reach of hotel. The room was clean and double bed very comfortable. Good value for money and we would stay again." (108533228)

    Good size room. Excellent continental breakfast. Easy to find with good directions given at booking.Plenty of parking.

    Some of the electrics in room needed attention. Camp bed for daughter was absolutely solid and not sleepable on. Luckily there was also a sofa bed which we pulled out and used. Pub/Restaurant was not open when we stayed.

    Clean; very friendly staff; excellent food; lots of hot water with great pressure in shower; rooms are in a separate building from Inn so even if there was a function on, I doubt you would hear it in your room; breakfast is self-service so you can have it when you like and don't need to wait for a dining room to open

    Needs some tidying/redecorating

    Rooms on ground floor in a separate annexe. Good food available in hotel so did not need to venture out in the evening.

    Would prefer a cooked breakfast but the continental one served was adequate.

    Nice staff and very freindly.

    Shower hose leaking and no shower curtain. This room with ensuite was large and wheel chair friendly.Shower hose was replaced immediately when reported to manager.

    Friendly staff, clean, excellent room size and contents. Very good location as we were racing at Knock Hill on Saturday and Cowdenbeath on Sunday.

    Reasonably priced with continental breakfast

    First impressions of the hotel and restaurant were that it had been closed down. It looked very shabby and needed renovating.

    Staff helpful, friendly and pleasant. Breakfast fresh and good quality. Food in restaurant excellent...enjoyed every meal and accomadated my grandson with something that he liked which was not on the menu!

    Rooms could do with update, furniture and deco old and tired! Kettle could be replaced...element rusty!

    Lots of character, nice location, attractive room. Really need a car to get to it, though. It is a bit out of the way for someone using public transport.

    Traffic noise beginning at 5AM, loud enough to wake a very sound sleeper.

    Nice and Peaceful yet just 5 mins from town centre and easy access from main roads. Rooms nice and clean etc and well heated in wintertime.

    Price

    Having to get breakfast from foyer, and return to your bedroom with it. You then have no suitable table and ended using the bed as a table, balancing your breakfast on your knee. Didn't get a receipt after paying a member of staff outside who was happy to take the cash, after he offered to just deduct it from the our credit card details submitted when booked on line.

    Room was fine apart from bath and shower - tile grouting black and most unpleasant looking - didn't have either bath or shower because of this

    Good meals at night including good breakfast

    Bathroom door not closing/ towels not changed we did that ourselfs/ noisey when quests coming and going in the night wooden flooring being noisey and banging of doors??
