    "If you want a 'Yes Sir, certainly Sir' type hotel then this isn't for you. What you do get is a comfortable hotel with a friendly, helpful and pleasant staff who are always happy to have a chat. They are efficient without being overly formal, which I find quite refreshing." (108854971)

    "Overall a very nice hotel, pity about the evening meal, should stick to simpler menu. Best place around for travelling by ferry. Great staff. Anything I didn`t likw would be very easy rectified. Would reccommend it." (108986776)

    Good breakfast,very, very comfortable bed, spotless room, bathroom etc. Convenient for ferry at Holyhead, very pleasant area,very pleasant helpful staff. Lovely hotel, quiet at night.

    Unable to leave window open overnight so room a litle warm and stuffy. Dinner was mediocre, felt the chef was overstreching his capabilities in the menu provided. Peanuts and crisps in bowls at bar, surely not considered hygenic anymore.

    Friendly helpful staff. Modern accommodation. The building is two stories which makes for it being small and intimate. Full English breakfast very good with eggs cooked to order.

    Fire doors on a protected escape route and staircase leading to the upstairs rooms wedged open. (I removed the wedges each night before retiring.)Restaurant menu and wines overpriced. Restaurant understaffed in the morning.

    Hotel well-looked after with high degree cleanliness . faults were promptly attended to , and our privacy was respected in all instances

    The hotel is quite some distance from any town . For young travellers who might who might prefer some night out, that can be off-putting. It's on the expensive side compared to other hotels around. Presence of muddy horse-show field immediately behind the restaurant slightly put us off our otherwise delicious food

    Very pleasant staff. Quiet location with beautiful beach nearby. Walk to Rosneigr was very peaceful and great to actually walk on the beach to the next village. The food was well presented and excellent. Room and balcony were very comfortable.

    At times restaurant service was slow by some staff. Others were very efficient especially at breakfast. The hotel was very busy during our visit.

    "Would be a great hotel if staying overnight on business. Not suitable for a 'holiday' hotel. The beach is not within easy walking distance particularly for older people. There are some very reasonable pub meals to be had in the surrounding area rather than paying a premium for the restaurant in an evening." (108443317)

    Majority of staff friendly and helpful. Clean and basic facilities throughout. Breakfast menu and service was excellent each day.

    No dvd player in room. Restricted meal times and no room service outside these restaurant times. Bar closed at 11pm which is quite early for those on holiday. Service in the restaurant was variable depending on which waitress was serving you. After waiting an hour for our sweet order to be taken, we decided to give up and go to our room. Were served some very dodgy 'fresh King Prawns' which gave us a 'dodgy' stomach the next day.

    Good location and food was good

    Not enough staff in restaurant had evening meal and breakfast- no toilet paper in ladies and told staff but they did not do anything about it

    Superior room was excellent, generous size, light and airy, fantastic views. Staff helpful. Cooked breakfast was truly excellent on Sunday morning.

    Saturday night dinner at 7:30pm was disappointing. Our two first choice main meals (one special, one regular menu both not available) Cod and chips was luke warm. Way too many chips and excessive salad served with fresh crab. Toiletries in the room were sparse and not replenished/added to when part used. Cooked breakfast on Monday and Tuesday not as good as Sunday (sausages not freshly cooked). Also noticed a musty smell in bathroom, suggesting retained dampness somewhere. Maybe from 'duckboards' in the shower?

    "Hotel was within walking distance of the beach, we enjoyed a lovely coastal walk to the next village some 3 miles along the coast. Within easy reach of Holyhead and some spectacular scenery." (107108505)

    A warm welcome from friendly staff making us feel at home. Hotel was modern and tastefully decorated throughout, with a relaxing atmosphere. Food was fabulous, generous portions, excellent value for money. Superior bedroom was spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed. Despite being in close proximity of RAF Valley, it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. Well worth a visit!

    Teething problem only, window blinds clattered against the window frame when window was open, this may keep people awake if the window is left open during the night.

    Good location, excellent food, nice environment (bar and restaurant). Comfortable bedroom. Reception staff very good.

    Disappointment that the hotel was not finished. i.e. balconies not able to be used. Some restuarant staff very slow and unable to follow simple instructions. Some items on the menu ran out quickly. Loud music from kitchen which was heard in lounge/bar area. We thought this was a little inappropriate. Would have liked a room safe.

    Comfortable double room. RAF airfield next door interesting but not a problem. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts included in room rate and very good with wide selection, cooked and cold. Drink making facilities in room. Comfortable bar area. Newspapers provided.

    Hotel has been open only 10 weeks and some parts not yet complete. Flamboyant descriptions of dishes on evening menu not backed up in practice. Restaurant staff a bit chaotic. Peculiar fresh orange crusher.
