    "We felt very welcome at Butley's Priory and we loved out stay. It was a special experience." (108657805)

    *We felt as special guests because of the hospitality, the enthusiastic and friendly manners of the staff. *The staff is a real team that enjoys working together in Butley Priory. *Butley Priory is a beautiful, atmospheric ambiance. *Quiet, rural area; many foothpaths. *Communication about facilities before our stay was clear in the fact that Priory’s bed rooms can be difficult to reach for a 81 year old with walking limitations; based on that we choose to stay in the adjoining cottage and have breakfast and coffee in the Priory. We had a lot of privacy in the cottage since no other guests stayed there. That might have been a coincidence. Loved the logfires.

    Not suitable for disabled. Not a negative point, but something to keep in mind, Butley Priory is a Bed and Breakfast. The cottacte was comfortable and sweet, but less atmospheric than the Priory.

    lovely house and surroundings. Charming and helpful staff. Lovely decoration and atmosphere

    Slightly disconcerting plumbing,power shower made strange noises for sometime after it was turned off. Small bore wc- worrying.

    Beautiful building, informal situation, brilliant breakfasts, friendly staff, wonderful location

    Too Dusty, Bed too soft on outside edge needs replacing, you could not lock your room when you went out which meat you had to take your valuables with you which was inconvenient. Needed to take antihistamines because of the dust.

    Interesting old building with romantic decor in attractive grounds with ample parking. Very comfortable bed and generous drink making facilities. Generous breakfast of excellent quality. Casual friendly atmosphere.

    No coat hangers in our room (one jacket would have benefited from hanging overnight). We were informed breakfast was at 9.30. Only our group of 5 was present for breakfast yet the offer of fried OR scrambled eggs had to be a group decision, so 2 guests were disappointed!

    An interesting and beautiful building set in a tranquil location close to lovely villages. Staff (and owner)were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and relaxed with good quality ingredients.

    The bed was a bit hard!

    Lovely large stateroom with exceptional decor. Excellent breakfast in a superb setting. Very friendly & helpful staff.

    We were not expected as the online booking had not been checked/received. However we were lucky that the room had been made ready anyway & the friendly staff made up for the mistake.

    Great surroundings and great just being left to our own devices.

    Unable to lock room door as keys no longer provided to guests.Not happy with leaving belongings in unlocked room. Would at least suggest room safe as minimum option. Also - no wardrobe to hang clothes in. TV in room didnt work.

    Accomodation was very good. This beautiful Grade I listed building and it's surroundings lived up to our expectations. It is a peacful place to stay and unwind. A good location for seeing Suffolk

    Hospitality of staff could have been better. Better quality produce could have been used for breakfast, eg Imported streaky bacon was not satisfactory. Could make more use of local produce, ie the supermarket honey was from New zealand, whats wrong with Suffolk honey?
