  In my room I found dirty socks from the previous guest, and the toilet handle almost fell off everytime you flush. The floor was extremely noisey to walk on -the next room woke me up when they walked on the floor early in the morning.

  "Although we were only guests for 1 evening each member of staff at the hotel made us feel very welcome. Our room was massive and had an extremely comfy kingsize bed. The coffee shop & restuarant served lovely food." (108871320)

  A beautiful hotel and very welcoming. We had a restful and very pleasant stay. Our room was lovely, very spacious and our granddaughter who was travelling with us had a wonderful time

  "Only stayed overnight and had to leave early so no experience of meals etc. Hotel itself fine and would use it again." (108369814)

  C;ean and Tidy Hotel. Rooms good size. Bed good size. Luckily away from Nightclub. Friendly staff at reception

  Hotel bit dark but mainly due to low voltage lighting Picture in room 123 upside down!!!!

  The rooms were a good size and airy.

  Generally clean and tidy.Liked the option of a coffee shop. Staff, on the whole, very pleasant and efficient with the exception of the receptionist on Sunday morning who seemed half asleep & completely disinterested.

  No hot water at 8am on the sunday morning. This was reported at 8.45am on way to breakfast. Manageress then tested it & said it was ok which it was when we returned to our room. The fact is there was NO hot water at 8am & when we asked for a reduction on the bill, eg the price of drinks the previous evening, this was refused. It seemed as if we were telling lies, which we were not. As a measure of goodwill it wouldn't have hurt to have given a slight reduction as we had to take a cold shower. Also most of the hot breakfast was cold & was certainly not good value for money. As a result of this, we certainly would not recommend you to friends. Some of the easy chairs in the upstairs bar area were a bit tired and grubby.

  main hotel section clean and room facilities good

  Food was execelent in the hotel resturant. Staff were helpful and friendly.

  Rooms were very dated and basic. Not what I was expecting considering the price of the room. The pool and leisure facilities were shocking. The changing rooms were dirty eg. litter, plasters, old shampoo bottles ect. The floor hadn't been washed in weeks. The pool itself was okay, but the jacuuzi was terrible. No bubbles and power at all, I'd be aswell sitting in my bath. The Steam room was rubbish, it didn't even have any steam in it and the sauna was freezing. When I asked if there was a bucket of water the attendant told me that I had to keep coming out and in for cups of drinking water to throw on the stones. Was looking forward to the sauna all day and was fuming when I discovered how bad it was.

  The receptionist was most helpful on arrival. The room was spotless and well appointed. A table would have been nice, there were two chairs so where was the table?

  The lights in the room did not connect to the headboard switches. A bulb has gone in one of the bedside lights. We found the TV rather complex to operate and get the right channel. The staff in the restaurant at breakfast appeared disinterested and downcast, although they were helpful enough when asked they had to be prompted to answer. The Head waiter/manager disappeared for long periods.
