When I made the booking, the owner rang back very promptly to check it would be suitable. It was nice to be offered tea/coffee on arrival. The room was comfortable, beautiful and well equipped. Breakfast was excellent. The option of an evening meal was very welcome. Although some people seemed to have difficulty finding it, I thought the instructions were clear and accurate.
There aren't really bad points. The only very minor quibble is that this is an excellent guset house, but not a hotel. It made no difference to us for an overnight stay, but could do if someone was looking for a hotel break, and maybe this needs to be clearer.

Very good accommodation. Proprietors very friendly. ALL MEALS were excellent
The Bluemans Lane (off A21) was not easy to see especially at night.

"On arrival we were greeted with tea in the lounge, which was just what we needed after the long drive down. The staff were very attentive and accomodating. The facilities and rooms were excellent, breakfast in the morning was lovely, all fresh/local and very tasty. Would definitely go back to this hotel." (107673217)
Lovely country house in beautiful surroundings. The service was exceptional. The rooms are extremely comfortable, clean and quite lavish actually.

This was a very clean and friendly and peaceful place to stay, in a good location. The breakfasts were lovely. There are a lot of National Trust places in the area.

Friendly and warm hosts. Everything was top! Breakfast and dinner, clothhangers, tissues, towels, superb bathroom, no annoying smells in the house or rooms, digital TV, beautiful garden,smoking facilities outside that don't disturbe any non-smoker,

Excellent hotel - could not fault anything. Loved the little touches like a welcome cup of coffee/tea whilst we registered. Very friendly owners - nothing was too much trouble. Food excellent - freshly cooked for each guest. We were made to feel very welcome.
No bad points - the light fused one night but it was sorted with out a problem

"Warm, bright and clean with every attention to our needs. As a couple we stayed in the garden-suite together with my Mother. There was plenty of room for three adults to relax in our lounge/dining room. Lovely setting and excellent value." (107306122)
Excellent food, comfy beds and a welcoming tray of tea with a spare jug of milk on arrival. Personal attention, fresh towels daily and plenty of sachets for making drinks provided, together with biscuits! Games, DVDs and CDs in lounge.

friendly welcome by the owners,wonderful four poster room very comfortable and luxurious furnishings. Everything we could possibly need. Excellent evening meal and breakfast.

In terms of the booking process, I made the booking rather early as accommodation was limited in the area - I found it reassuring that should I have needed to cancel, I would not have been charged until 48 hours before the planned visit.

Loved our cottage style appartment. Owners made us feel welcome and was extremely friendly. Very child friendly, our children didnt want to leave.

Very good breakfast and friendly owners/staff.
The room was a standard double room with a very small bathroom and a normal double bed. It was certainly not as luxurous as advertized. Furthermore, the garden of the hotel is situated directly on a busy road (A21).
