    food in hotel first class, hotel rooms v good decor and bathroom also v good

    rooms over heated, with heating off it was still to warm. Car parking a nightmare

    "The hotel is central for touring the local area. It was quiet, ie no road noise. The bed was very comfortable." (107352310)

    The room was a good size, the bathroom was very well equipped and luxurious. All the staff were polite and helpful. We shall recommend the hotel.

    Parking was a problem

    "The main reason for chosing the hotel was its proximity to the station, as we travelled by train. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again if we come back to Christchurch." (107942024)

    Beautiful bathroom, very comfortable bed, lovely breakfast. Exellent location. Exellent Sunday lunch in the Kings Rhodes brasserie.

    Changing the toiletries in the bathrooms after just one use was unnecessary and a waste.

    After mentioning that it was our 34th wedding anniversary we were upgraded to a lovely room The staff were very curtious and friendly, the beds were very comfortable and breakfast fresh and brought to our room at the time requested.

    "I took my disabled son (32) with me and I explained that Ben needed an easy shower.She went to a lot of trouble to show us our room and Ben's walk in shower was great but maybe a small wall handle to grab if needed would have been ideal.Loved the decor and although ,we didn't eat at the hotel,looking at your prices, we thought the restaurant was a bargain,not over priced and looked very smart.I think it is a charming hotel and as I have stayed in quite a few 5* hotels,I have to say that it was the best small hotel I have ever stayed in.Well done !"     Judith was outstanding as the receptionist,very helpful.Beautiful rooms and very comfortable beds,heaven!Loved the breakfast,however if I stayed longer than two nights it might be too 'samey'

    Kettle lead was too short to stand on the table so I had to turn the waste bin upside down to put it on to reach the socket!Parking could be an issue but you cant do much about it.The bath plug wouldn't stay down so I couldn't have a bath but when I told Judith the next morning she offered straight away to move me but I thanked her but as I was only there for one more night I decided to stay put.Hope its fixed for the next person!

    "As a matter of course I seldom comment on hotels in depth but for the Kings I will make an exception. Quite simply this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in (at anything like the price) Everything about the hotel, restaurant, staff was exemplary and an object lesson on how to run a hotel. Check in was great, an upgraded room supplied without request, room and bathroom were excellent and impecably clean, food in the brasserie was superb and fantastic value. I can think of nothing to complain about at all and would totally recommend this hotel to everyone. " (107962490)

    Good position in the town, bright and airy room, lovely bathroom, comfortable bed with excellent 6 pillows and lovely bedding. Nice breakfast brought to the room on time.

    Parking was a bit tricky and there was no information book in the room - hardly major "bad" points

    A modern bright refurbishment which has been done very well enjoyed our stay ,staff very helpfull great to have fridge in room

    Noise from road if windows left open, would have been hassle to park if we could not leave car oppisite hotel (limited free hotel parking)

    Hotel in good location, beautiful decor in the rooms. Good brasserie as part of Gary Rhodes chain of restaurants however this needs to be booked separately.Complimentary Tea/Coffee/Water. Fridge in room as well as ironing board and iron and hair drier.

    Room was very warm even though heating not on. Hate to think how hot it is in the summer.One ceiling light not working and i pod dock not working. No tray in shower to put shampoo or soap.

    Lovely room, furnishings and bathroom. room was spotlessly clean. Had excellent meal in the restaurant, where service and food was superb, but wouldn't recommend for children

    Water for shower and bath was 'luke-warm', even on hottest setting, advise thermostat is turned-up ~10 deg C. Parking is not great, albeit manageble for 1 night stay, would be awkward if staying longer

    "The parking fiasco made us an hour late for the function we had come to attend in Bournemouth." (107203412)

    Clean, fresh and new. Electric cord for the fan suplied in the room is too short to enable the fan to sit comfortably on the window sill.

    Parking situation opposite is chaotic and not controled for hotel guests. Staff on duty were incapable of remydying the situstion. Our car was trapped in the middle by others who had parked behind and in front. After half an hour of anguished angonising on what to do, your guest had to move three cars himself. Very troublesome and inappropriate, as there was nowhere nearby to move them to and if one of the cars had been in an accident, who would have been to blame? There is an urgent need to ensure that all cars parked there bleong to registered hotel guests only - not just casual diners or visitors to the bar or others who are not even using the hotel's facilities.

    Prsentation was lovelly, luxury bedding and fab decor, staff all very friendly and helpful

    the hotel has very little or no parking, although it was worth the short walk from the public car park! the room was very warm, even with the windo open

    The hotel was a last minute booking and I got it through and agent in the local area. We didn't know what to except and were hugely impressed when we arrvied. The hotel was very slick and stylist, very contemporary without loosing the old feel of the hotel. A fantastic stay.

    there were no bad points....a mini bar would have been nice but it didn't impact on our stay
