    Hotel was clean, quiet and taxi booking was on time and reasonable

    Rooom on third floor(carrying cases), Room low ceilings (top floor), no restraunt

    Great location, with quick access to Gatwick Airport. Pub close by was convient.

    Rooms were very clean on arrival, reception staff were very helpful

    Room was a little small, could only really walk around the bed and was very difficult once our bags were also in the room.

    The receptionist who processed our check-in. Cleanliness of the room.

    The roof of the room was so thin that the sound of rain was too loud to sleep. The full-English breakfast was just acceptable. Perfume was too strong to me. It was so hard to find the location because there was few signs.

    Very clean and fresh but lacked atmosphere. Receptionist was first calss.

    Radiator on in room made it very hot. Beds not made or room serviced during our stay.

    "Out of the way position of property-perhaps some signage from a major road would be helpful, wouldn't have found it without an internet map. Too much in room for the size, a wardrobe is not really neccessary and removal of it would definately help. The price was very reasonable but a stay of more than one night would be hard to tolerate. Left too early for breakfast so cannot comment on the quality of that. Probably would stay again because of the price of room." (107891190)

    Room was clean, and seemed newly decorated. Saw little of staff but booking in clerk was helpful and obliging, allowing us in early, at about 10am at no extra charge. In contrast to usual the lighting in the room was excellent. Quality of fittings good. Amenities supplied generous.

    Only real complaint was the inadequate size of the room. Very difficult to fit in two suitcases, not especially large ones. Only place to open the one we required was on the bed, so had to be repacked and closed to fit it at end of bed, then there were difficulties getting around the bed. There was a luggage rack folded in wardrobe but absolutely no where to put it. Second case was balanced on chair otherwise it would have had to be stood behind door and then the door could not have been opened. The electric jug would not fit under tap so had to be filled from a glass - thoughtless selection of item.

    Very clean, friendly and room and bed of good quality.

    It is difficult to find the hotel from the Airport. They are missing a good explanatory.

    "We found the reception staff to be extremely pleasant and helpful. For example, although we are fairly familiar with the area, we did have some difficulty in locating Barrington Lodge, but they were soon able to get us on our way when a telephone call was made to them. " (107339298)

    Cleanliness was of a very high standard, we found the room and bathroom to be immaculate and very well appointed.

    On a slightly negative note, the room was a little on the small side, however, this was not a problem for us, and it would not detract us from stopping there again.

    effiient check in attentive, courteous staff

    tap in bathroom loose, tv wires showing. only 5 channels on tv. would be difficult to find if no sat nav. breakfast limited

    Really lovely very homely room, extremely clean, very comfortable, friendly happy helpful staff. Early check in and late check out really appreciated.

    slightly hard to find, would be nice to have slightly wider variety of room service menu, not clear if breakfast was payable as website said extra charge, but noticed on room information in the room that it said complimentary breakfast (after service had finished). Huge bed was twins linked and they did start to come apart during the night (fine if you dont both sleep near the middle of the bed)

    I arrived late and rang to inform them. They were extremely helpful and were fine with my turning up at midnight. Room was small (I booked a single) but very clean with good decoration, excellent shower room and working kettle etc. I would not stay in that sized room for more than one night but would definitely go back.

    Better directions are essential. As others have said - it is nigh on impossible to find and the Sat Nav can only take you so far. If you find the school you need to turn off and keep going. They should put a very clear map on their website and exact directions rather than just a google link.

    You can not get a better hotel for the money. Lovely building, excellent room and fantastic staff.

    The only down side is that it's tucked away behind a housing estate and quite hard to find.

    Hotel refitted with good quality fixtures and very clean through out.

    Difficult to locate, buried in a housing estate. SatNav essential! Room very compact. Breakfast nearly 3/4 hours to arrive.
