  "Having stayed at the Forest of Arden last year, when I booked to see a concert at the NEC I decided to return. I would highly recommend this hotel and for golfers it is a must with two excellent challenging courses." (107316407)

  Excellent attitude of all staff I dealt with from reception to dinning and bar.

  Staff polite and helpful. Comfortable room. Lovely swimming pool/jacuzzi/steam room.

  No mention on booking that hotel were refurbishing and some parts of the hotel were not in use. covering refurbishing. Although breakfast was generally quite good, we had finished our cereal and fruit and were halfway through our scrambled eggs etc before the tea/coffee arrived. Also, I asked for a poached egg which they couldnt do and my husband asked if he could have a fried egg (there was only scrambled on the buffet)as we were seated but he had to ask another twice before it appeared (and it wasnt freshly cooked) by which time I had finished my breakfast. Food in both the restaurant and Zest bar poor quality and poor value for money. Although room was generally clean, whilst sitting in the bath after arriving I noticed a suspicious mark on base of the toilet - which was still there the next day after the room had been cleaned.

  "Good" (107775208)

  Helpful and good manners of staff.

  Unable to get a response from the Spa. It was closed but no ansaphone. No response on the phone for room service. Had to phone a few times. In the end phoned reception. The choice of vegetarian food was limited and when requested, the dishes were unavailable. Had to settle for a sandwich, the only other choice being a salad in winter!
