  "We had an great stay. Thanks to our hosts for treating us royally. They went above and beyond what they would be expected to do. Thank you." (107384307)

  Staff excellent. Food great for breakfast. Large room. Shower. Close to the areas we wanted to go.

  The area in the room for showering was very tight. Suggestion: put a divider of some sort in the corner of the room with a change area. One of the main floor toilets was not working consistently.

  "We realise that this was a high season for Edinburgh but that still does not justify such a high tariff for the facilities provided. " (108613621)

  There were no good points!

  No room service on Saturdays. Requested an early breakfast as we needed to leave at 7.30 for work, on Saturday for 7.15 which finally came at 7.30. Requested breakfast at 7.15 on Sunday, request accepted but very unwillingly. No sign of anyone when we appeared for breakfast, when finally managed to rouse the person who would have prepared it, he was not willing or able to do so in the time available. His appearance, did not, in any case, inspire confidence. We realise that the kitchen area is not intended for public view, but we were quite shocked by the condition we found it in.

  "Good for one night" (108328052)

  - room was large with onsuite - polite staff

  The breakfast was shocking it consisted of sweet corn and two eggs and a tomato - this would be a reason for me not to stay again - also we booked on the internet and they didn't have record of it although we had a reference and then tried to charge us the wrong amount.

  un accueil sympathique, des hôtes attentifs, un petit déjeuné excellent

  salle de bain hors de la chambre, accès difficile deux matin (file d'attente) petit déjeuner tardif deux fois en regard de notre programme touristique

  Nice friendly staff, offstreet parking.

  My allocated room was only accessable via the guesthouse kitchen.

  "Excellent it is just a shame it is too far away to be a regular place to visit and recharge the batteries" (107550532)

  This is an excellent place to stay. The host was warm and friendly when we arrived. She made us a lovely pot of tea when we arrived and was able to give advice on where to go for dinner. The room was very clean and breakfast was amazing. The standard and presentation of the food was excellent. The atmosphere was very relaxed and made you feel like you were at home. well worth a stay.

  Finding food was a bit of a problem. Fraserbergh does not have much to offer however a short trip down the road and there was plenty to see and do.

  Excellent breakfast and staff though the French manageress will be leaving soon, so there may no longer be pancakes on offer! Kttkats and little bowl of fruit were a nice touch.

  We were allocated an 8:00am slot for breakfast the first day (saturday), though were able to change that to a later time on subsequent mornings.

  "We were given five pounds each back because of the poor breakfast but it in no way took away the vile breakfast." (107720779)

  Hotel nice and room clean and tidy. Staff helpful.

  The breakfast was easily the worse we have ever had. We had to wait 40 minutes in the first place only to discover that, not only was it vegetarian which we had no notification of, it was dreadful!! I could not eat it and my husband was so hungry he at least tried to eat his. I even had a hair on my plate. Disgusting!

  "Adequate overall but there are so many guest houses in Edinburgh that next time I will stay elsewhere. Also a little expensive for a B&B in October I thought at " (107736277)

  Although the check-in time is 3pm if you let them know in advance your estimated time of arrival you can check-in early. We arrived at 12 noon and our room was ready for us. The off street parking was a real plus.

  The mattresses were very soft and lumpy and the walls were so thin we were kept awake all night by the person in the adjacent room snoring. The decor and tv were a bit old and tatty. There is no reception so you have to hunt out the staff when you arrive and leave. One of the staff, a young New Zealand lady, was very friendly and welcoming but the other was a little strange and quiet and didn't seem to know what she was doing or who we were when it came to paying our bill. When we arrived no one ontroduced themselves so we weren't sure who was staff and who was in charge. When we came down for breakfast the dining room was full so there was no place for us to eat and no staff about to ask about it so we just left without breakfast but weren't offered a discount because of this.
