    great location, friendly and helpful staff, great value for money

    scaffolding infront of windowns due to building work though this wasn't the hotel's fault and is possibly the reason we got such a great deal money wise!

    Spacious. Good breakfasts. Kitchen good.

    Noisy Banging doors. Shower unit not adequate the whole thing kept on falling to pieces, and no regulation as regards water temperature. Adjacent night club very noisy with loud music and air vents going all the time.

    "Is this review relevant as I was advised that the hotel was being converted into council accommodation for young people - which I supposed explained the disinterested and unprofessional staff and general feeling of a vast, stark and empty building.     "As I have said, the homeless hostel I worked in, had better facilities and to be charged £70.00 for the room and an okay breakfast was a disgrace." (107605661)

    The receptionist who showed me in was polite and very helpful. This was the only time I saw a member of staff, until the next morning at breakfast time, and then it was only to ask me what I would like for breakfast. There was no one on reception to hand my key in to, nor did anyone inform me as to where I should put it. I left it in the room, as I thought that was the best place to leave it.

    The room was not very clean, there were splashes on the wall, the skirting boards were dirty. The bedside lamp was broken, there was no mirror in the room. The general decor was not good, I only had one quite flat pillow. Room doors were banging for most of the night. I have to say that in my work I worked in a homeless hostel which was better equipped that the room I stayed in. The toilets and shower rooms were reasonable, but the toilet paper was not of a good quality and there were no hand drying facilites in the toilets.

    centralissimo, bus da e per l'aeroporto di fronte all'hotel, riscaldamento, abbastanza economico

    il bagno della nostra stanza aveva la vasca senza tendina uso doccia e con la cornetta troppo bassa; un giorno si sono completamente dimenticati di pulirci la stanza e rifornirci di asciugamani puliti; colazione troppo tardi, non prima delle 8,30

    "A nice hotel but just a bit lacking in comfort " (107478163)

    The hotel is in a good location close to both the city centre and the rugby ground and is within walking distance of the station. We were allocated a one bedroom apartment which to be honest had enough space to accommodate a much larger family. The rooms were clean and tidy if a little sparse on furniture (they had obviously recently been refurbished) and the kitchen and bathroom were both well eqquiped

    The rooms were too cold during the night. There were heaters in every room but they were never on and could not be controlled from the room. Only a very light quilt on the bed and no extra blankets. Dining area too small to accommodate all gusets for breakfast. After waiting for 3o mins each day for a table we walked to the nearby Wetherspoons and had a full English for £5

    You should have mentioned in the reservation that you had moved locations, and indicate clearer where it was located at the moment, because there are no clear signs that point you to the hotel from the street view.

    This hotel was dated and the facilities poor.Very small rooms with tatty ferniture. No areil conection on my tv. Parking availabe if lucky 200mts away. No tea and coffee making fac in room.

    The service at Breakfast from the New Zealand lady was excellent, she was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the shower was excellent. Even let us leave our bags there for the day after we had checked out.

    The doors in the room would not stay open which was very annoying. There was no warning of all the work that was being done to the hotel prior to our stay. Twice we went to reception to ask for assistance and the desk was unattended.

    Very central. Clean. Bath and shower.

    Accommodation nothing like web picture - so deceptive. Basic. Hardly any utensils in kitchen. No cooker. Breakfast - bacon dripping in fat.

    Central location.

    Were moved rooms twice due to one wrong room and a fault with a leaking radiator in the other. Rooms were freezing, very basic and staff were not very helpful. No lift and hotel has many stairs.

    Principalmente, la situación.

    Los apartamentos no tenían ninguna indicación exterior, ni en la fachada ni en la propia puerta. Antes de dar los buenos días cobraron el importe total por las cuatro noches reservadas. Los apartamentos no se parecían ni por asomo a los de las fotos mostradas en la web. Uno de los dos apartamentos reservados no tenían el equipamiento completo ofrecido, en concreto, frigorífico. La supuesta sala de estar era el propio dormitorio. Lo peor, el baño: en un caso sólo se podía llenar la bañera y bañarse, no se podía tomar una ducha. En el otro apartamento contratado, el agua salía o muy caliente o muy fría. Se notificó a recepción y no se solucionó nada, no hicieron caso ni dieron explicación alguna. El servicio de habitaciones también dejaba mucho que desear: el lugar de cambiar las toallas, las doblaban aunque estuvieran mojadas.

    was very central to Edinburgh city, could walk to everywhere from there. The apartments were clean (newly opened), I had a room with shared bathroom and kitchenette which was very clean. Everything that you could need during your stay was there.

    Good value for money and good central location for the city.

    Kitchen was quite basic, not very nice cutlery, crockery etc. The doors slam very quickly behind you which was both noisy and dangerous for small children's fingers! Also really could have done with some mirrors somewhere. Also poor picture on the TV.

    Very good basic accomodation, clean and tidy. Well within walking distance of city centre. Very polite and helpful staff. Ideal for a short city break.

    No lift and we were on top floor so had to drag suitcase up 4 flights of stairs but apart from that all good.
