Room servicing was inadequate, towels not replaced even after soiled were removed; tea and coffee supplies not topped up. Beds inordinately uncomfortable.

"Brilliant! Words can't express. You have to try it for yourself." (107658059)

Can't begin to explain!! Gifford is a beatiful market town and the Goblin Ha' is a major part of it. However, never a truer word has been spoken when they say 'don't judge a book by it's cover'. Scottish towns can appear a little 'dower' to English. Once inside the door it's a pure delight of chic modern meets traditional. I was amazed - and I've been to many hotels across the world. The staff were delightful and attentive, food superb, and I slept a full 10 hours in the fabulous bed!!! I should keep all this as a secret, but can't help but enthuse over the place. An absolute delight to stay there and will be back!

Couldn't find a single bad point even if I'd tried really hard (and I am hard to please according to my other half!)

    - clean - Nice bar and restauarant - Easy parking

    - v. far from Edinburgh and takes 45 minutes to commute, no street lights on your way which make it quiet dark in the night - Heating not appropriate in the room, however, staff acccomodating additional heating requests - Only one electricity socket in the room which make it difficult to decide what to run, laptop or electric heater.. - Mobile reception goes v. down - Toilet did have bath but no shower
