Room door rattled with breeze and a beer mat was offered to wedge it closed. Loud noise from amusements outside annoying. Hotel not a boutique hotel rather a tired b&b. no room to work in the room.

"Very nice and clean hotel. However, compared to other B&Bs in Southend this was poor value for money. The size and layout of the room was absolutely unacceptable." (107986785)
Very clean.
Extremely small room. No on-suite bathroom. Time consuming check in. Hotel not able to provide VAT receipts.

Very clean and tidy. Staff were welcoming and friendly
Shower was either very hot or really cold. Bearing in mind the size of the room and the fact that it was out of season i did feel that the price was rather expensive. We have stayed in a proper 4 star hotel rather than Bed & Breakfast in places like Brighton on the sea front for alot less

"Superb hotel in the centre of Southend. Lovely welcome by the owner who couldn't do enough for us. Lovely room in excellent condition with modern facilities in perfect working order. Very quiet for a good night's sleep with a nice breakfast in the morning. Good selection to choose from and all fresh. Use of private car park very close by at no extra charge. Easy walk down to the sea-front and pier. Very close to town centre for restaurants, shops and banks. Would certainly stay again no problem." (107324738)
