  "We had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend and will certainly recommend Holiday Inns to our friends and relations. We are looking to spend a long weekend in Cardiff and will be looking out for similarly priced good offers." (108701174)

  Excellent breakfast; tea/coffee-making facilities in the room were good; water was always available and hot; bathroom was always clean; towels, soap/shampoo available. Being at the back it was quiet - I certainly wouldn't have expected that in a busy city centre.

  Not exactly a bad point, but a notice in the bathroom advised us to leave towels on the rail if we didn't want them changed. We DID leave them there, but they were changed anyway, so we had three clean sets in as many days. Perhaps it was because the towel rail did not heat up as advised it would.

  "Found black hairs in the bathroom and on the bed sheets and complained, were given another room but it was smaller and had no bath, the original room was much larger and had bath. we got fed up of complaining and so gave up, staff were not very apologetic." (108523621)

  proximity to city centre. Nicely refurbished, bar staff were very pleasant and efficient.

  Breakfast was cold, eggs had been kept too long - were like rubber, scrambled eggs had strange black lumps in it, I compained and was told to have another breakfast, that was just as bad!

  "With the exception of the bad points above, every other aspect of our stay was good and we would recommend this hotel." (108715382)

  Hotel location excellent, good breakfast, clean and modern room.

  Restaurant was closed throughout August, and we were unaware until arrival. Refurbishment taking place and our room was next to the scafolding used to transport waste down from above and also it was above the street where old materials were collected, judging by the noise, one collection occurred at 05:00am, the noise only lasted about 15 minutes and then peace was restored. There was further noise after 08:00am.

  Although you offer other pillows, the standard foam pillow was the one in the room, I would have prefered a feather pillow as the standard

  "I would definately stay again and book in advance in order to secure the £80 overnight with breakfast fee - would not pay more than this in birmingham but compared to the Quality Inn stayed at previous 2 weeks ago - a million miles better - no comparison. Also GREAT LOCATION! Thanks. " (107486524)

  Lovely room, very clean and good facilities. good vfm especially on NYE.

  Heating was poor - took ages for room to warm up. Tried to use the phone to advise staff but phone went dead - rang hotel number on mobile and left msge but nobody called back.
