  Good position, lovely building.

  Tablecloths could have been changed, they were stained at breakfast time. Rooms could do with a change of decor.

  staff we pleasant and responsive; bed was comfortable

  the bathroom just was not clean, the shower leaked leaving us with puddles on the floor, there was just one minute cake of soap to share between the washbasin and the shower. The \tV had no remote control and there was no hairdryer, both of which should be standard for 3*

  Location/breakfast

  No curtains - only vertical blinds on one window - none on other window. Generally a bit grubby. Towels clean, but small.Duvet only just fitted on double bed.

  Friendly and welcoming. Well-prepared food, reasonably priced. Excellent bar service. Willing to oblige with all reasonable requests.

  "I stayed 2 nights and was satisfied with the accommodation and service." (107596865)

  Good value for money. Friendly staff. Very good cooked breakfast. Bar menu also looked good but as I had other arrangements for dinner, I did not eat in the bar, and cannot therefore comment on the standard of the food.

  Hotel needs some investment. The shower is very basic. Town centre location is convenient, but early morning traffic noise was an unwelcome wake up call.
