it was a dreadful experience....a grubby, tatty hotel......far too expensive...didnt try restaurant as whole hotel felt dirty

"The standard of food was very good, the hotel room was not in good state i.e damp patches on ceiling no water or fruit juices in room as stated. The staff were helpful but think the pricing does not justify the standard of rooms." (107920409)

Good location for the england girls golf.

Not aware it was a pub aswell as hotel. also the shower in room 206 is a health and safety issue this needs to be looked at. Every chance of banging your head on the slopping wall which is tiled very limited space to turn.

"Hotel was spot on. We booked a double room but where given a twin, this was quickly sorted by the member of staff at reception. Room was big and clean, staff helpfull and the breakfast was good with a nice choice on offer. The hotel is in a good location and you can't miss it what ever direction you come from. Car park was busy when we arrived but we managed to find a space ok." (107398305)

Everything about this hotel was good. Ideal for a night or two.

"Pleasant and comfortable place for our short visit to Calne." (107343842)

Historical atmosphere (eg antique items like old gramophone etc) Residents' bar open til 12 Newspaper available in the morning. Fresh flowers on tables. Good breakfast.

Room overheated. Fans from bathrooms of adjacent rooms a bit noisy.
