  "We had a 2 night break b/b and had a fantastic brakfast set us uo for the day and the time of breakfast was very good could choose any time uptil 11.30am. Bar lounge was clean and drinks very reasonble" (107596491)

  Food was excellent. staff were very good. lovely area and easy access to other areas. very clean

  found out that if we had booked 24hours before there was a discount

  "The hotel has been under new ownership since September 2008 and the shortcomings may be addressed as experience is gained" (107696924)

  Meals are excellent Staff are anxious to please

  Poor standard of furniture dusting and carpet cleaning in bedrooms: live and dead woodlice in both of those encountered Lock on allocated bedroom door difficult to turn from inside with some risk of breaking key attempting to do so: after two nights a move to another bedroom was agreed Six small cartons of milk in first bedroom and five in second had "use by" dates of 24 December 2008 Evening meals and breakfasts were served in the bar on uncovered sticky wooden tables

  The staff were wonderful, very friendly, remembered our breakfast order from the day before. The room was clean and tidy and of a good size, we stayed in the family room - three adults, plenty of space.

  One minor point, we were told we were the only guests on our second night and on our second morning we had no hot water. Minor irritation. also there was a bath but no shower in the family room a little inconvenient when trying to wash hair etc.
