  "When we first saw our room we were rather disappointed, but decided that it would do as we wouldn't be spending much time in there.We were more than happy with everything else there, that in the end, the room didn't matter that much anyway. We had a lovely weekend at the Bull and we would stay here again if we're ever in the area." (108631660)

  The food was excellent.We had an evening meal on our first night which was very good. The full English breakfast was exceptional and so much we couldn't finish it.The staff were all really pleasant.

  The bedroom was adequate but the bathroom was really small. There was only space for a shower cubicle, a tiny sink and toilet. There wasn't even space to have a good towel dry in there, you had to step into the bedroom to do that!The other problem was the lighting in the room. It was really dim, very difficult when trying to dry your hair or do your make up, however the bed was really comfortable.

  Food, location and general service.

  Not exactly bad .... but accommodation could be cheaper - it is after all a pub, notwithstanding its history.

  staff were friendly and responsive bathroom was nicely done nice atmosphere in the pub / restaurant good freshly cooked breakfast

  not much space for guests in the pub car park (lot of it was being used for outdoor seating for the pub). We did find space in the road but we could have been unlucky if arriving later. Despite booking for two people the room was only prepared for one (towels etc) but staff were responsive in sorting. Room size was fine for one night for two people but was on the small size for more than this if staying as two people (virtually no luggage space and we were en route from a holiday so it was a bit cosy)
