    Petfect location. Food in restaurant was lovely.

    Room looked a little tired (eg in need of decoration)& bathroom was a little dirty.

    Location on the A1 was ideal for our prupose

    The place was in the middle of a refurbishment programme and it looked like a bomb had gone off in the bar, reception and restaurant area. Understandably this was a temporary situation and did not affect us all that much.

    Hotel was clean and very comfortable. The staff were very pleasant and eager to assist.

    We had a good night in the bar but thought the price of a bottle of tonic at £1.50 made my vodka & tonic too expensive. Hope ths will be on draught next visit

    Staff very good and quality food. Flat screen TV in room

    Shower regulater missing so hard to mix water to required temperature and tap water too hot

    Staff were friendly & approachable. Food was good. Very comfortable bed.

    Bathroom was not quite as clean as it could have been and showed signs of "patched" maintenance.

    Most helpful staff. The food and menu were of high standard and we enjoyed our evening meals in the Bar.

    "If the shower worked, I would say that the hotel is absolutely great value for money. I would only stay again if they could guarantee a room with a working shower." (107575579)

    Comfy and welcoming. Staff friendly and nice people. Ideally located for the area. Nice bar. Beds very comfortable. .

    Shower was abysmal - not able to use it at all. Insufficient towels for two people. Breakfast is quite expensive at £8.95, but is after all optional.

    Excellent Staff and evening meal of a good standard. Bed Linen very good.

    Room a little tired and requires some re-decoration.

    friendly helpful staff. Good food, reasonably priced.

    Small & uncomfortable bed. Shower over bath not really suitable as water was very hot and difficult to adjust to temp.

    Good location. Liked the choice of restaurant or cafe/grill. Room size good and plenty of hanging and drawer space. Nice tv screens. Staff pleasant and helpful.

    Bed was very hard and duvet tucked into bottom of bed which meant you had to be halfway down the bed for it to reach your shoulders or untuck everything. Restaurant had very limited vegetarian menu. No "Do Not Disturb" signs for room door and no chain which I like to use when I am in the room. Couldn't pick up the free wi-fi which was advertised. Windows had been painted shut and would not open.
