    Friendly staff, warm and clean. Quiet,

    No plug for the washbasin, broken bathroom fittings, shower doors that do not close properly.

    The hotel was exactly as described. Really good value for money especially as it is so close to the city centre.

    Mattress could be doing with being renewed and the shower cubicle had some mildew around the bottom.

    Just an observation, it would look more hygienic if the bed covers were of a lighter colour.

    The room was clean and basic we had to request different room the next day as the bed mattress was not at all comfortable which was offered strength away another problem with this hotel was it was full of young stag and hen parties which kept us awake long into the night in fact it was 7 in the morning when they when to sleep.No food servives.

    Friendly & helpful staff. Room was perfect. For a two night stay in a city, it was excellent value for money.

    The only problem in the room that I would mention was the matress was uncomfortable & was in need of replacing.

    very friendly and helpful staff, comfortable bed.

    rough looking neighbourhood and a few problems with the room, marks on walls and holes in the bedding also the TV had some strange issues, the way i sat on the bed would change how well the TV picked up signal. but if you want food you will either have to go into the centre (a bus stop is near buy and its about £2 for a return i think) or order a takeaway (the sort of food you would only eat if you are hungry or have been drinking), there isn't any restaurants near buy and to be honest i wouldn't feel completely safe walking about at night.

    Very cheap. I knew hotel didn't do food, so I asked the guy if there was anywhere good locally to eat - to which he handed me the takeaway leaflet for a local kebab shop. Not a good point in itself, but deserves a mention in this section as the sincerity of his recommendation made this incident hilarious.

    No towels in room.

    couple on reception were extremely helpful, offered us a twin room at same price as we were mother an daughter!! told us where to find bus stop, local restaurants all directions etc. very nice people. bus stop right outside to go to town centre only 2 stops. room was basic but adequate tv worked and kettle and drinks provided. bathroom spotless.comfy beds also.

    looked bit scruffy from outside,very basic room but adequate/ stains on the walls could ve been washed or repainted. looked as tho some1 had opened can of pop and had stained all walls!!

    Very friendly staff who were very helpful. They informed us of the cheapest way to get in to Newcastle via the bus which saved us a fortune on taxis! We were also able to leave the car there while we travelled about.

    "Couldn't find the hotel on arrival so called Hotel. Manager & Porter both couldn't give me directions to the hotel - really bad english - I was parked outside a pub 100m from the hotel and they didn't know where I was. Checked in, first room 110 - lock was broken on the door - you could push the door open while fully locked - complained & got moved to room 133 - Bedcovers were dirty - stained with mold? Coffee Grains? All around the room the walls and furniture had splashes/ dirty marks on them. The lights were covered in dust. I asked if the hotel had a hairdryer I could borrow - they didn't. Through the night, we coulkd hear doors banging as the walls were paper thin - people were standing in the corridor having a conversation - I had to go to the door and move them on at 2am!! I complained on checking out & got a refund! I knew this was a budget hotel, but the appearance throughtout was dreadful - it looked like a squat! There was an "out of order sign on the fire hose on the first floor - i couldn't see any other extinguishers. My sister thought it looked like the hotel from the film "The Vacancy" - not ideal."     Clean beds and linen

    Generally the hotel was in disrepair. A window hanging off, a window next to my room bricked up. The carpets were filthy, the walls required a lick of paint. No hot water. Dodgy locks on the doors.

    "We usually stay in the Rooms inn in the outside rooms which are spacious and basically fair enough for the price. However inside is another story, so much to complain about.But, After 2 years of coming here, they are very accomodating, so as long as we're in the outside rooms thats fine. so much is in need of improvement."     cheap.close to city center.quiet area.friendly staff.

    bad tv quality, long walk to the rooms from reception, constantly need to knock at reception door when locked, lumpy bed, no hot water, the dishes werent cleaned, we were given keys to someone elses room and we are never offered fresh towels etc.. we had to ask.
