  Excellent room, comfortable bed, perfect air-con. Very helpful staff at reception. Excellent cleaning every day.

  No bath towel rail in bathroom, i.e towels washed every day - very environmentally unfriendly. Always empty breakfast buffet due to too many people, too little food. Staff couldn't keep up.

  Well positioned hotel. Hotel is very modern. Shame we were only staying one night and therefore didnt have the opportunity to eat in the restaurant or use the pool and sauna which would make this excellent value at the discounted room rate. Staff were friendly on arrival and very helpful.

  Access to our room was via the escape staircase which hasnt been refurbished and was shabby but this was a minor criticism as the rooms are great with huge plasma tv.

  our booking was not on the hotel system but this was rectified very quickly

  "Lovely hotel, fab location, great staff. Would definitely stay again." (107339513)

  Beautiful, brand new hotel. Our city double room was lovely and fairly spacious. Staff were lovely, very pleasant and helpful.

  None really, other than we didn't receive our complimentary newspaper, but we weren't bothered enough about it to enquire.

  "excellent except for booking in - i would make sure i checked with the hotel before arriving to ensure they had our booking" (107551036)

  hotel was well situated and the decor etc was very nice

  staff could not find our booking they had to phone head office and we were told that we were actually booked into another hotel even though your voucher stated our chosen hotel - they finally agreed to accomodate us however we could not book in till 2.30pm when we went back at 4pm told rooms still not ready they then offered us a complimentary drink and put the rooms on priority and they were ready within half an hour

  I absolutely adored this hotel, I have never stayed in one that was so nice, if I'm ever back in Edinburgh I won't stay anywhere else.

  A little bit pricey, but worth it.
