  Quite naer Gun Wharf Quays and Historic Port

  No parking, bedspread dirty and stained, not hoovered grey hairs on carpet,wallpaper peeling off, noisy at night sounded like people were living there.Staff not attentive in restuarant, had to ask twice for buffet breakfast items.

  "Would not recommend this hotel to anyone,unless they dropped their fees 95%" (108665003)

  Had a good sleep

  Staff were not very helpful,had to almost beg for a parking space from the duty manager who seemed to think it was ok to keep me waiting for him to appear at his desk for half an hour.

  Close to station and historic dockyard.

  Decor shabby and very dated, but clean and tidy.

  Pretty shabby decor, particularly public areas and bathrooms.

  "Only one night, so it was OK. Wouldn't want to stay longer though." (108312090)

  Friendliness of staff. Restaurant food was good.

  Room was very tired - peeling wallpaper, stained carpets, condensation marks around windows. Double bed was small and mattress sagging. Looked in need of a refurb.

  "Was pleasantly surprised. After reading previous reviews was very dubious about staying here, but had an excellent time. Would recommend staying here to anyone. " (108885005)

  "Would definitely use again if in Portsmouth. V close to city centre and good to feel you are supporting the services at the same time!" (108584779)

  Superb reception rooms, excellent atmosphere

  "Adequate for us as we needed to be in Portsmouth early on the Saturday morning." (107382763)

  Central, pleasant and helpful staff. Although the rooms were old fashioned in decor they were extremely clean, the beds were very comfortable and we had little or no noise from other guests or outside. The bathroom appeared to have been refurbished. For an overnight stay is was good.

  The room was a little old fashioned in decor. The signal for the television was poor.

  "the overall stay was good, staff helpful and pleasant. The rooms had a new bathroom but the bedroom could do with a bit of modernising, but did enjoy our stay, central for outside facilities." (107828541)
