  Clean. Bathroom immaculate

  Poor shower, no directions to get there. Curtains filthy. Noisy. Uncomfortable, but clean, beds

  "Friendly staff, excellent restaurant, GREAT LOCATION on a side street just off Oxford Street by Bond Street Underground Station. The room I was assigned to was in good working order, good value for money, surprisingly not too loud considering the location. " (107361236)

  The room was larger than I expected and in a GREAT LOCATION. The hotel's configuration is a bit unusual in that it covers several buildings on the street. However, I enjoyed this as it felt a bit more like a home. The associated restaurant to the Mermaid Hotel is excellent and very popular at lunch time with the local residents and workers.

  My room was located on the top floor of one of the buildings. This meant 4/5 stories of steps. I did not mind as I only had a small gym bag and briefcase. Some people may have trouble with the stairs and getting their luggage to the top floors. I am sure that the hotel would be able to accommodate guests in lower rooms with notice. If you pay by credit card, expect a 4% additional charge to your bill.

  "Exactly what we were after - cheap, clean and central." (107636159)

  Checked us in early and moved us to a first floor room as we had a 5 mth old ad 4 year old. Clean room and cot provided. 4 year old shared with us in a huge bed (2 big singles pushed together). Worked well for us. Modern and clean bathroom. Very central. Breakfast was simple but adequate and included in price.

  Access is a problem. There are 3 levels of rooms on each side of a small road and no lift just a narrow staircase on each side. We were on the first floor so it was okay to negotiate with pram but if you were on the third floor it would have been harder. There is no fridge so difficult to store things for the baby if you were staying more than one night - not a problem for us.

  Rooms and staircases very clean and tidy

  Room had to many stairs going up to this (atleast stairs from the reception to the room. Not impressed with an extra £3 charge to pay by a DEBIT card at check in!

  "Breakfast was a bit disappointing: only 1 juice choice and not friut at all" (107346363)

  water linking down the ceiling - had to address it twice before it has been fixed.-As a result, for 1 entire day there was not worm water

  good localization

  -lack of lift (When we´ve just arrived to the hotel, we had to go up the stairs with our luggages heaves until the reception to check-in and then going down again these stairs and needed to cross the street to get to the other building where we were to stay, and believe or not,we had to go up again 2 levels until our room!!! -bad clealiness(It seems never cleaned the dispenser of liquid soap that inside was very, very dirty almost black.)

  "Great all round!" (107554523)

  Excellent location close to centre of city and Bond St tube station. Well within walking distance back from a night out in the bright lights of London!

  Shower was a bit awkward to figure out but spot on when ascertained.
