    "It was fine for what we paid for but I was surprised by the interpretation of 'suite' and the lack of advertised jacuzzi. However, the staff were so nice and friendly that I didn't wish to complain - even now." (108369472)

    Interesting hotel in the heart of Roscommon town and a worthwhile overnight stay with B&B.

    Our suite turned out to be a room (#102) which was ensuite and without the jacuzzi. The room was interesting with old furniture and an excellent view over the maon square.

    My family's experience at Gleeson's was the quintessential Irish Bed and Breakfast experience that we were all looking for and expecting. Beautiful facility that was enveloped with flowers and foliage; kind and accomodating reception (eventhough they were extremely busy, they made us feel important and invested time and interest in our needs); food was delicious and service by all was phenomenal. Our room was absolutely beautiful and Gleeson's made us feel safe and secure. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the owners/ managers who took the time to talk to three strangers travelling from America. Yes, they were kind and interested in what we had to say, but more importantly - they made us feel as though we were a part of a long lost family - all in one night and half of a morning!

    GLEESONS WAS EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY AND THE STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND WELCOMING.

    THE ONLY BAD POINT WAS THE NOISE COMING FROM DOWNSTAIRS, WHICH WAS CAUSED BY THE MOVING OF WOODEN CHAIRS AGAINST THE STONE FLOORS. I WOULD ALSO SUGGEST TABLE CLOTHS WOULD IMPROVE THE LOOK OF THE RESTRAUNT.

    we enjoyed our 1st time staying at gleesons lovely homecooked food,breakfast lots of variety freshly cooked,bedrooms spotlessly clean comfortble beds with very comfy pillows.In the centre of the town so convenient,and also quiet&peaceful at night

    "A very unpleasant experience. If the hotel had employed enough staff for the amount of customers it might have been a completely different situation. The hotel is very tastefully furnished but the poor service is inexcusable." (108894830)

    The open fire place was very inviting

    Staff were hassled and under pressure and as a result were inefficient and quite rude. We ate in the restaurant and there were four rows of dirty glasses on the bar counter. Breakfast the following morning was as bad. 2 staff trying to serve a restaurant of customers with a bus tour due in at any moment. The lady on reception was unfriendly to the point of rudeness.

    Eammon & Mary who own the property were very good hosts and the staff were attentive, food was very good in the restaurant. We were upgraded as our bed was very small and there was no additional cost for this.

    Rooms could be cleaner, lack of toilet rolls and clean towels could be provided without having to keep asking for them. The hotel could do with a little face uplift as some areas look tired and in need of attention.
