    Friendly, family-run hotel; excellent food in the restaurant.

    It is located in a small village so there is nothing else to do beyond the bounds of the hotel itself.

    Plenty of secure parking Attentive/polite staff Good food available on site. (Two meals from the €25 & €35 set menu a bottle of mid range wine and 2x GT's + coffees, cost about €100 = reasonable)

    Room a little small, but adequate. Had to ask for extra pillows which came immediately Very poor selcection of TV channels for English speakers (2x news channels)

    Beautiful place in a lovely setting, within easy reach of beaches, ferry port and amenities. The owners are a charming family, very helpful and welcoming.

    The toilet flush was a bit temperamental.

    "We were the only family with young children (one of 8 years and a 1 yr old baby) amongst the middle aged clientele (I'm being kind here), but were made to feel very welcome by madame and her daughter. Room was clean, breakfast was adequate. Would definitely recommend." (108974858)

    A fantastic, warm and friendly welcome. Room clean and comfortable. Safe car park - no need to empty entire contents for overnight stay. Half hour drive to Calais.

    Didn't have our booking upon arrival - Madame had been too busy with running of hotel to check internet bookings. However, this is only a minor point - don't let it put you off!

    Nice setting & convenient for Boulogne Ferry port Good quality food for adults, very poor choice for children (only 1 option!)

    Average standard of room & service in the restaurant was very slow

    Friendly, pleasant, courteous and helpful staff. Nice room. Good food. Well laid out restaurant. Easy to find and plenty of private parking. Public areas, clean and spacious. Free WIFI.

    Shower in bathroom had littlle power. Hairdryer didn't work properly. TV had only one clear channel. We had a room on the first floor of a barn conversion and the only access was via steep narrow timber steps. Fortunately it was dry. A kettle and cups for tea / coffee would have been nice.

    The owners went out of their way to make us feel very welcome, even carried table outside so that we could all eat dinner in the garden. The children had been in the car for 6 hours so needed time to run around. Staff were amazing and the food was out of this world,

    warm welcome. Very helpful staff. Room and facilities extremely comfortable. The restaurant was indeed on of the best we have visited.

    Warm reception upon arrival, and that excellent service continued throughout our stay, nothing was too much trouble, even when we came down very late for breakfast.

    Lovely family who run the hotel, helpful hostesses.

    Sadly, I have to report that staying here was not good value for money. the room was 70 euros per night (plainly stated on their tariff board) and so we paid 280 euros for 4 nights but now the proprieter wants another 20 euros- why? Evening meal was fine but choice of main course items on all priced menus was limited- nothing suitable for a vegetarian for example. The breakfast priced at 7 euros consisted of 1 glass of orange juice, 1 natural yoghourt and a selection of two pastries and bread+ coffee: really not enough at that price, especially as there is nowhere else to eat in the vicinity of around 10 or more kilometres to eat. At 70 euros per night one would perhaps expect a tea/coffee tray in the room.

    "A lovely relaxed friendly place to stay for a short break. Nice villages and towns to visit with a car. Lovely countryside. Personally would have loved a swiming pool rather than a tennis court." (107572291)

    Very friendly staff and excellent restaurant, but with a limited menu

    The faciiities were tired, but everything worked, and the hotel more than justified its 2* rating, since the warmth of the welcome made up for its other limitations
