  "Very nice hotel, spoilt by inconsiderate people. It would have been useful if the night receptionist has asked for the people going to room early morning to be quiter and consider other guests. I would stay in this hotel again but would insist on a quieter room." (108477552)

  Very clean friendly hotel, not much noise from the nightclub. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly staff. Not far away from the meetings had to go to.

  That the walls between the rooms are to thin, woken at 1:30am by people in next room talking, and banging around drawers. Taxis tooting people leaving the nightclub trying to get trade at 3 am

  "Couldn't have asked for more helpful staff and a charming old hotel, well cared for and updated as much as possible." (108369736)

  The staff was EXCELLENT, very helpful and friendly. Rooms were large, comfortable and as expected condition for an older hotel. Price was very competitive.

  We were aware, when booking, that there was a pub on site and that it may be noisy. You should not choose this hotel if you have a problem with noise as it was indeed quite noisy.

  Nel complesso ottimo. Le camere sono grandi e silenziose. L hotel e' ubicato in una posizione centrale dove si possono raggiungere comodamente le migliori attrazioni della citta'

  "We enjoyed our stay and found it a very lively place to be on Friday and Saturday nights. I had read reviews about the noise but we didn't find this a problem, despite being a 'mature' couple! It was great for being close to everything and we found most things within walking distance." (107897072)

  We found the staff very friendly and helpful, starting from the e mail I sent requesting information on travelling from the airport to the hotel. We cannot fault the treatment we received.

  We thought the rooms were very clean and tidy but were needing a bit of updating and repair. Some tiles were lifting in the bathroom, the toilet roll holder was broken and the shower could have done with a shelf for toiletries. The last day we did not get our tea/coffee refilled.

  "I've known this hotel for a number of years but this was the first chance I'd had to stay in it. I wasn't disappointed! Yes, there is some noise and yes, the cleaning ladies did wake me up working outside my room, but you can't complain if you know in advance what to expect. The hotel supplied ear plugs. I didnd't use them, but it's a good idea. The benefits of staying here (irish breakfast, central location and gorgeous beer garden, complete with TVs for the sports matches) far outweigh the disadvantages!" (107814538)

  Fabulous location, I loved the beer garden (barbecue was a little expensive otherwise but very good). The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, opening up the bar for us, charging mobile phone batteries, etc. Very pleased with the service!

  There was noise from the downstairs nightclubs and the Luas tramway just outside. But we were aware of this in advance so we were prepared for it, by going out those nights. The nightclubs are open Thursday, Friday and Saturday - the rest of the week isn't so bad.

  "Vraiment bien" (107492875)

  L'hôtel est bien situé: à quelques mètres du st stephen s green park, shopping centre; il est proche du centre ville. En début de semaine il est vraiment calme vu que le club est fermé. La chambre était agréable , tv-dvd , accessoires de douche, propre. Il y a également un trés beau jardin et la déco était pas mal.

  Ne pas oublier que les prises ne sont pas comme en europe..pour les chargeurs..

  "We had a great time - and the location was excellent for seeing the sights of Dublin !" (107778484)

  The staff were fabulous. Our twin was upgraded to a triple - so my Mum had a FAB 4-poster bed to sleep in :-). Breakfast was excellent - plenty of fresh fruit and great selection of breads. Mum really loved the plants and flowers in the bar area / front of hotel etc.

  Very minor point - the hot water in bathroom was SCALDING - and the cold water was hot until the tap had run for several minutes.

  Well maintained hotel with lots of character in an excellent position at a sensible price.

  The room was very warm and street noise prevented us from opening a window. In addition we only had a thick duvet, a thin sheet would have been much better.
