    "This is an adequate stayover hotel with late night checkin greatly appreciated. The exceptionally helpful night mananger was a highlight for us.     Excellent stop over Hotel that is easy to find if you check the location on multi map and plan your route in. Easy to make a quick exit from Lille. Located outside the centre but is only a short 10 minute walk to good bars and Restaurants. Very good underground secure car parking.

    "Basic room, clean, very comfortable beds. Staff very freindly, enclosed parking at rear of hotel no extra charge. Finding hotel, best not to go into city centre, stay on out skirts and head for the casino, casino should be on your left, follow the road straight ahead, road bears to the right hotel about the third turning on your right."     Took a long time to find hotel, we went to tourist information in centre of town, they weren't really sure how to find best way to hotel.

    Hpotel bon rapport qualité prix près du centre ville à pied

    en raison des travaux près de l'hôtel et de la gare, il est dangereux de marcher une fois la nuit tombée car aucun éclairage dans ses rues au bitume défoncé et trottoirs encombrés

    "The whole Hotel experience in Lille was terrible. It took us over 2 hours of driving all over the city until we finally got there. Even when we were standing in front of the hotel we didn't know it was there. There were no signs from the street, a resident of Lille had to take us there. If it wasn't for her I don't think that we would have ever have found it. The hotel was very dark and it smelled like smoke and urine. The room was very small and hot, there were no screens on the window so we couldn't open the window to let some fresh air in." (107348332)

    "Fine for a one night stay, just somewhere to sleep/shower. Area is not the best, but only a 20 min walk to the city centre. Would not recommend for singles to walk at night." (107156661)

    Clean room - clean towels/bedding. Very good shower (although small)

    Mould on ceilings. broken balcony door. very thin walls/noisy. Difficult to find. Did not feel comfortable returning to the hotel/area in the dark.

    "First time I've been to Lille and I enjoyed the architecture, art in the Palais des Beaux Art and the restaurants. The Hotel is very centrally located and the staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast is available from 7 to 11 and has a great choice of food. You can toast your own bread and there is an easy efficient way of boiling your egg.     "This hotel was clean and tidy. The main problem is that it is surrounded on 3 sides buy major building works. Most of the area is a building site..The noise started from about 7 a.m.Once the surounding building are completed the area may be more pleasant.The walk to and from the centre requires navigation around a great deal of road works.There is no pool or facilties for children entertainment. At 79 euros for a quad room per night, you get very basic facilties. This hotel is ok for a couple of nights as a stay over, but not for a 7 or 14 day holiday stay." (107130731)

    Clean good size room, o.k. for 2 adults and 2 children.Approx 10 minutes stroll to shopping centre(Eurolille).Pleasant and helpful reception. Wifi but 2 euros per day.Plenty of free parking available.Shower room and toilet very clean.No mildew visible at all.Correct amount of towels provided.

    No A/C or room safes obvious.Shower room steams up very quickly as there appears to be only a vent, not an extractor fan. Restaurant menu selection very limited.Breakfast @ 8 euros per person, expensive.

    Great spacious room,with kitchen facilities, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. Room clean with soap,shampoo and clean towels. Breafast great with eggs available on order, which was clearly indicated. Interesting indoor arrangement with a central indoor court exotic furniture and olive trees. Getting around the public transport very cheap 3.50 euros for a family altogether and covered bus, metro and tram, everything well posted.

    Far away from anything if you are a pedestrian. A long walk from the metro station.30 euros from the Eurostation by taxi. There was no note indicating that the water and things in the fridge were a mini bar, nor there were prices listed. The breakfast crockery was all chipped.

    etre proche d'une station de metro

    j'aurai souhaiter un petit dejeuner plus copieux par contre le café et les jus de fruits excellents. vu la chaleur la clim dans les chambres aurait ete la bienvenue

    "We were pleased with the value for money offered by the hotel, and were pleasantly surprised with the quality when compared to other hotels at the lower end of the budget in that part of France. The hotel appeared ideally placed for those travelling to the city by car, with a decent sized car park and very convenient access to all the city's major roads. It was also an easy stroll for those travelling by train, with Gare Lille Europe no more than 5-10 minutes away, and Gare Lille Flandres no more than 10-15 minutes on foot. The major attractions of the city are all situated in and around the two stations, making this hotel very well placed. The hotel seemed very quiet for a summer weekend, and this was no bad thing for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing stopover. Maybe it could be seen as one of Lille's hidden gems, given that its on the opposite side of the city centre compared to the vast majority of Lille's hotel offerings." (97189007)

    Check in was very swift, and our room was ready and accessible even though our early train got us to Lille (and therefore the hotel) 90 minutes before the check-in was due to open. The hotel is very secure with a friendly night porter who was most helpful in spite of the language barrier between us. The rooms were better than I expected and were welcoming.

    There is an element of building work taking place in the area, including the construction of a building directly opposite our bedroom window. This wasn't too great a problem to us as the noise was kept to a minimum thanks to a well soundproofed room and the fact that we had to be up for 7.30am anyway, but it may not have suited a light sleeper or someone looking to enjoy a lie in. The restaraunt wasn't open at weekends (except for large groups who pre book) which may not suit some people, but this was ideal for us as we were keen to explore, and there are plenty of fine eateries nearby. The corridors were quite dark and unusually decorated which gave the area a drab feel, but the reception and the rooms more than made up for that. The hotel is in a slightly 'dodgy' area in terms of some of the characters you encounter, but during the daytime you can enjoy a nice shortcut from the Eurostar terminal to the hotel via the park (including a mini farm) that connects the two points - nothing more than a five minute brisk walk or a ten minute stroll. It may be best advised to ensure you're part of a group when walking through the park after sunset as it is quite secluded - the slightly longer walk along the 'official' route along the streets from the station to the hotel may be advised if you're on your own.

    Good value hotel and an easy walk to the city centre.

    Rooms seemed to lack sound proofing. A very noisy snoorer kept us awake for much of the night.

    "Had a spacious room for four, the hotel is within 5-10 minutes walk of Gare Europe and easily walkable to all points of interest in central Lille. Plenty of towels and toiletries etc. Very clean and professional for the budget price. My school girl French is almost completely forgotten and the staff, although not fluent, were willing to help fill in the blanks with English. All staff we met were very pleasant. Minor niggles - single beds very narrow, could do with towel rails in the room (could save laundering on towels each day), only 1 chair in room. Most people will take the cold buffet breakfast (as there is nowhere else in the immediate vicinity) - for 4 adds up to about 50% extra on a night's cost. The buffet sometimes ran out of various items and was not generously replentished i.e. croissants brought out about 3 at a time. Overall safe, convenient, friendly and comfortable enough."     Main advantage is that it is very close to station and central Lille, good for sight seeing, without being right in the shopping/leisure area, good for a quiet nights sleep.

    The hotel is flanked by building sites currently but that won't always be so.

    As a traveller who has no requirement for luxuries I found this hotel to be exactly the place I like, very friendly and helpful staff, a clean functional room and very good food. All within 10 minutes walking distance of EURA Lille and Gare Flandres.

    "We chose the hotel for it's budget price - only needed it for a base to explore the Xmas markets and city centre as it's only a 5-10 minute walk into the city centre. So it was ideal in that respect. It is in need of some renovations (interior not fantastic - e.g hole in door, iron burn on carpet) but our room was a reasonable size and clean.
