    "A little disappointed with our stay in the hotel. Although hotel very central, our room was cramped and very noisy." (108989812)

    Hotel in centre of lille. Staff were helpful. Car park opposite was ideal to park in for our stay, althought cost us 12 euros a day. House keeping good- towels changed and room clean.

    Difficult to find hotel. Asked for double room. Room had a extra bed single bed in so not much room for moving around/luggage. No air con or fan so room was extremely hot day and night. The noise from outside was constant throughout the night (people shouting/ lorries unloading/ rubbish trucks etc) Very thin walls so could hear conversations of rooms next door. Rooms very dated and small.

    "Hotel is in a very good position for all main area of the city and it is in a quiet street. The room was pretty horrid and dark which was pretty depressing. The mosquitoes in particular ruined it for us." (107361375)

    Central position to all major city attractions.

    Room was very small, very poorly lit (no overhead light in the main part of the room and only one side light) and overlooked a dismal central area and brick walls. The worst part was that we were infested by mosquitoes day and night. The receptionist said that this was a problem throughout the hotel. This prevented us from opening the window and as there was no air conditioning or fans it was extremely hot and stuffy, particularly at night.and although I had asked for a high floor we were given the first floor.

    Charming Reception Staff always trying to be helpful. Central position of hotel a big plus.

    Confusion over wake-up calls (presumably due to confusion over who was staying where). The wake-up telephone call is automatic and impossible to stop short of pulling plug. Empty beer bottle found in room on taking up residence. Allowing other guests to be loud in corridors late at night and early in the mornings. Expensive average breakfast, overcooked coffee.

    Hotel location, car parking, heating and bathroom

    Parquet flooring, very noisey,no doors on wardrobe as not enough room to open them if fitted, double bed sheeets not big enough

    Value for money. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed. Pleasant helpful staff. Good location for centre ville.

    Noisy at times through the walls. Smell of damp in the bathroom.

    excellent accueil, chambre et literie correctes, petit déjeuner avec large choix et copieux.

    salle de bain vraiment beaucoup trop petite (douche): WC coincés sous le minuscule lavabo, sortie de douche vraiment trop petite (obligation de s'essuyer en dehors de la salle d'eau). Une personne un peu forte ne peut en aucun cas utiliser cette salle d'eau !! Salle de petit déjeuner un peu petite et froide.

    "This hotel was excellent value for money at the price I paid but would in my opinion be over-priced at the normal tariff. The lighting in the room was not adequate for a twin room, consisting only of one bedside lamp and a ceiling light immediately inside the door. Plus there was no remote control for the TV. Despite this, the courtesy and helpfulness of all the staff we met was the hotel's biggest asset." (97357133)

    boiling hot at night, but with temperatures outside at freezing point it was difficut to get a happy medium

    "Overall the hotel offers good value for money. The room was of ample size and was clean. Some tea/coffee making facilities would have been welcome but the breakfast was very good with a wide choice. The staff were very polite and helpful. The only negative points were poor quality pillows and the fact that you were aware of every movement of the guests in the room above you, carpeting the rooms would aleviate this. All in all, a very reasonable hotel right in the centre of Lille." (97101461)

    The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed for the money.

    Because the rooms had woodblock flooring you could hear every movement of the people in the room above.

    "The location of the hotel is very convenient and fairly central, although hard to find by car without GPS The room was a fair size for the length of stay, but the hotel was generally noisy during the night - maybe down to the guests and not the hotel. Breakfast was ok as part of a weekend break at a special price. The hotel needs serious redecoration work as it's appearance is very worn and tired. Overall a good value for money hotel for a weekend or short break." (97062813)

    Central location. Very friendly helpful staff. Parking facility. Value for money

    Only problem Room 602 has VERY small bathroom with toilet/ washbasin/ shower touching so access challenging. It certainly wouldn't be suitable for some guests eg with poor mobility, agility or 'bigger- built' guests. Map reference from website poor it took us and hour riding around Lille to find it as road names given were not even recognised by locals !!
