    Good sized suite, separate area for third bed. Beautiful building, delightful public areas. Helpful staff. Inside city walls, easy access to main sights

    Some other guests boorish and rude to staff -obviously attracts a certain type of Brit. Air conditioning slightly below par during very hot weather.

    The hotel public areas were in very good condition. The restaurant was good. Parking was an advantage.

    The room seemed like a 3* hotel although it was defined as "superior".

    "Lovely city for a short stay. Hotel is picturesque. Lacks in Service and comfort." (97252530)

    lovely well kept old cloistre. Lovely roof deck with pool. Centrally located

    Room was spartanly furnished in IKEA Furniture. Bathroom and WC were spartan and unappealing. Air conditioning did not work and made a great deal of noise. Room was stiflingly hot at night.

    Personnel discret mais présent et disponible. Chambre confortable, propre, équipée. Esthétisme apaisant du cadre de l'hôtel. Ambiance calme et reposante. Nourriture de l'hôtel de qualité.

    "The Hotel is aimed at a rather staid older clientele. It represents a very expensive option if doing anything than just staying over night. The restaurant and bar are very over priced. However the service is truly excellent. Please note the TGV train station and the avis car rental are not adjacent ( 5 minutes from ) the hotel as indicated on google. They are 3 miles or a ten minute taxi ride away." (97987176)

    The interior decoration of the hotel is a harmonious mix of ancient and modern which creates a calm cool atmosphere. This is complimented by the discreet and efficient multilingual service.

    The lower priced rooms aimed at the internet market were up some awkard stairs which made getting the bags in and out of the rooms difficult.

    "The hotel is first of all in a superb position, inside the walls of Avignon, so perfect for everything. Our room was very comfortable and clean with good facilities. Staff were all helpful and charming. The rooftop swimming pool and sunbathing area were a real bonus in a city centre hotel In short, it had everything.A great place to stay." (97789948)

    Generally the hotel is quiet and peaceful and the public spaces are lovely.

    The bathroom is too small and and the decor is tired and dated. The shower left water all over the floor. The toilet smelled.
