  The hotel was in a very good location. The room was comfortable although a little small. The staff were very helpful.

  Hotel très agréable, acceuil très bon

  Une femme de chambre est entrée en plein dimanche après-midi sans frapper, en nous réveillant, pas très pro pour le coup...

  "This hotel was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. It has loads of indivudual character, the most amazing communal spaces (converted and/or restored from the building's original function as a hospice) and is a truly unique/delightful place to stay. The central atrium, the heart of the hotel, in particular is one of the greatest features of the hotel - superb location to have a drink, relax etc. The actual room (we stayed in standard room) was not that large, but the quality is top notch. The bathrooms in particular are lovely. Plus size of room doesn't really matter in view of the superb communal spaces in hotel, where guests can spend time. Its location is not dead centre, but is only a 10 minute walk from the central square. The only negative comment I have is the quality of the sandwichs provided by the bar on Sunday lunch, which we think had been made up from that morning's breakfast left-overs. However, they made these up as special request (sandwiches not being standard offering from bar) as we wanted a snack rather than full meal from restaurant, so this perhaps can be forgiven. I would come to Lille again just to stay in this hotel and would definitely reccommend it." (97702795)

  "Car parking is difficult and the hotel's location directions are hard to follow without a detailed map of Lille - buy or download one in advance. Staff are pleasant and reasonably efficient and the whole experience was worthwhile." (97644534)

  The general ambience and design features of an old building beautifully modernised.

  The room lighting was not ideal with the bedside switches several feet away from the bed. One of the main room lights was not working on arrival and despite requests was not repaired during our stay.

  "We were very impressed by the quality of the hotel and the way that it had been so tastefully converted from a hospice. It is very difficult to be negative about our stay, apart from the weather!" (99192961)

  It was clean modern & comfortable

  It was difficult to vary the temperature in the bathroom - the toilet was remote from the bathroom & there was no washbasin in the toilet
