    great location, friendly staff, v clean

    no free drinks in the room - i.e. bottle of water and tea / coffee facilities. Room was bear minimum - nicely furnished but no extras. Booked online but payment not taken which created a bit of confusion

    Grand hotel in a great location close to beach and town, secure free parking, was impressed with the size of the bedroom - booked a "cosy room" but room was a good size. Spa facilities were good although very busy.

    Bedroom/bathroom a bit "tired" looking, could do with some modernisation, particularly for a 4 star hotel although wouldn't want it to lose its character.

    Generally a comfortable room with good facilities.

    1. Shower room had no hand holds and a slippery floor on the shower tray (I slipped and badly bruised toes on both feet) 2. Shower had poor heat control.

    "I also sent them an e-mail quering the invoice - my order acknowlegment for room rate said €205. I was charged €261. To date I have had no reply" (108728786)

    The so called shower in our room was unacceptable for a 4 four star hotel, first is was not a proper shower with no curtain resulting the floor of the bathroom becoming wet and slippery which could have resulted in an accident and secondly the temperature of the water was not constant, it ran hot then cold then hot. Also the toilet paper was of the poorest quality. This was not the sort of quality of bathroom I would expect of a 4 star hotel in modern day France,

    Excellent food in the Pavilion Restaurant and very attentive staff. Very enjoyable experience. A quite room with ample space.

    Reception staff surly with a unfriendly attitude - no smiles - impersonal. No shower curtain/surround provided in the bathroom. One bathrobe dirty (black marks down the sleeve).

    The atmosphere at the hotel was great and the staff extremely helpful. The spa facilities were very good and we enjoyed using them.

    We booked in The Pavillon restaurant which we found very expensive even though the food was good. We were the only ones in the restaurant which was a little disappointing in terms of the atmosphere in there.

    the food in the le Climase brasserie is excellent, our quiet evening spolt only by a group of teachers (English unfortunately)- which probably ties in with my comment below

    we often stay at the westminster and generally enjoy our stay there but the staff are quite miserable looking, rarely smile when they know you are english, the lady on reception was very polite but as for the rest of the staff, their attitude needs reviewing, drinks in bar very expensive

    "A very poor bathroom for the price. The bathroom door wouldn't shut properly and no proper shower. My daughter who stayed in a seperate room went to unplug her hairdryer and the whole socket came away from the wall." (107807028)

    "Always impressive - especially at christmas time with all the lights in the square. A general feeling of old school class, comfortable pomp and circumstance without being stuffy. Nice clean rooms with comfy beds and olde worlde but efficient plumbing" (107932070)

    Pleasant stay in this grand old hotel - particularly enjoyed perusing all the old black and white photo's of the famous people who have stayed at the hotel over the past 70 plus years !

    On a previous stay at the Westminster we managed to drink at least 10 bottles of Tattinger Champagne in your hotel bar. We returned early from a local restaurant on Sunday evening to 're-create' our previous merry experience - only to find the hotel bar closed - over an hour earlier than is advertised on literature around the hotel ! We had no options but to go to bed. At 64 euro's a bottle we very probably would have doubled the cost of our stay - which is very much to your hotel's economic loss ! Although breakfast was more than adequate, for a hotel of this standard, an option of freshly cooked eggs - fried, poached or omellette would have been nice as the scrambled option had been in the bain-marie for quite some time.

    Piscine/sauna/jaccuzzi très agréables après la route et excellent buffet pour le petit déjeuner.

    Un problème de fonctionnement du radiateur de la chambre (mal purgé) l'a rendue assez bruyante toute la nuit. Décor "léopard" qui laise un peu à désirer (mais bon, c'est une question de goût !)

    Excellent location to town centre,everythings at your fingertips plus some great resturants also about ten minute walk to the seafront

    "In our opinion The Westminster is the only hotel in Le Touquet. We have stayed in others in the past but after three visits to The Westminster, including two excellent Christmases, we would not wish to stay anywhere else.     On reviews we were informed the hotel was a little dated, this was deinately not the case and I think a lot of owrk has been done to give the hotel a new look. Your spa facilities were being revamped during our stay so will definatly be back to see the changes you have made there.

    Breakfast was a little pricey but all other aspects were great.

    big room, nice bar, attractive building, english TV

    no kettle in the room...really frustrating for a 4* hotel especially if if you like cups of tea. only option is then room service which of course isn't cheap.
