    "We really enjoyed our stay and plan to return in november.We had a very comfortable night sleep and despite the hotel being in the bus station,no buses run at night and so long as you shut your bedroom window,there is very little noise." (108492885)

    An extremly clean hotel with very frindly staff. Well located for the beach, the town and the castle.

    A bit difficult to find as it is actually located within the bus station, but we found it without to much trouble as we had printed off a local map prior to our trip and it is sign posted.

    for 2star actual good value ,rooms were clean and simple , family rooms excellent as had two teenagers

    family rooms on first floor quite noisey due to bus station early/late bus arrivals and departures. No actual free parking available

    Very friendly, helpful and good value for money

    none really - a wee bit noisy but it was really warm so we had all the windows open overnight

    The manager was very friendly and helpful. The room was very nicely decorated.

    Parking is a bit of an issue as there are limited spaces in the free car park. However there is a car park behind the hotel which you have to pay till 7pm, then free on sundays.

    The Hotelier was very good, nothing was too much trouble, the english was a bit sporadic, but in fairness so was our French.

    Position is right beside the local bus station, and our particular night they decided to dig up and relay the road surface, and was very noisy, but that wasnt the hotel's fault.

    Excellent and friendly staff, nice clean comfortable room.

    The lift was hors de service, so we had to carry our bags up two flights of stairs.

    "Very pleasant City with many good restaurants to choose from. Enjoyed a visit to the sea life centre, but our trip was marred by the port authorities blockading our return ferry and we had to drive to Calais, paying an additional 106 euros for a one way late night ticket. Anyone caught in a similar situation might find it useful to know that P&O were asking ?135." (107987286)

    pleasantly decorated clean room, ample hot water, friendly reception where they fortunately speak very good English as I struggle with French.

    Constant tap-tapping noise below the window from 7 am caused by a workman chipping paint from the railings while refurbishing the adjacent building. Chair collapses regularly due to lack of adhesive in the tennon joints. Shower/toilet room very compact, could possibly be a problem for large framed or disabled people. Check-in not easy due to parking difficulties. Departure not easy due to our car being blocked in by neighbouring shop keeper's car.

    "Stayed with my husband and daughter for an overnight stay as a stop off before traveling onto meet friends.Was very pleased with the service they offered at the hotel,wonderfully friendy people.     Staff were welcoming and room big enough for a travel cot.

    Restaurant is not open during August which is not mentioned on the website. This was frustrating as this was a major reason for our choice of this hotel, since we wanted to put our baby to bed and then eat in the restaurant. Excellent double glazing meant that when windows were shut there was no noise, but because room was very hot we had to keep windows open and outside was very noisy.

    The attention of the staff was extremely good, the Gentleman receptiionist opened up the family room for us to have a little more room and at breakfast when I found the teapot rather hot, the lady receptioniste promptly came up with some anti-burn ointment. Highly unexpected, but very much appreciated. In addition, on arrival, the gentleman receptionist kept other potential users away from the last remaining parking space while I fetched my car. All very highly satisfactory indeed.

    "That the hotel restaurant would not be open during the Christmas period, although with some careful thought and enquiry this was not a problem. That Christmas Eve was going to be hotelier's family party, but you would not begrudge them that enjoyment when they have to work hard all the year, and he did warn us that it would be noisy."     Warm friendly atmosphere, generally quiet for a hotel so close to the centre of town.

    Parking was a bit hit-and-miss. Limited free parking close to the hotel. Pay car park nearby was adequate but costly if used through the daytime.

    Excellent value for money. The cleanliness, decor, addition of hairdryer etc. was far better than a 3* we stayed in pre Christmas in the UK, so all round good experience. Very centrally located, with parking, a bonus.

    Easy to find, near to shops and restaurants.

    Parking was an issue. The free parking near the hotel was always busy and you ran the risk of getting blocked in. Therefore easier to park on one of the car parks close by and pay, which wasn't that expensive and it's free from 7pm to 9am the next morning anyway.

    "If you are out for a short break on a budget I would recommend this hotel as it is clean and centrally located. Parking is a problem and if your room faces the bus garage then it may be noisy. The staff were the best part of our stay and were very helpfull." (97600354)

    Clean, staff couldn't have been more helpfull excellent situated for local shops.

    Parking and Shower didn't have enough cold water so wasn't used.

    Bonne situation dans la ville. Parking aisé et gratuit. Calme après que les bus se soient arrêtés pour la nuit.

    Noisy kids above but that is not an issue that was within the control of hotel more with the family staying there. It did not spoil the stay.
