    we liked it so much we cancelled another hotel on our return trip so we could stay another night, we stayed in the superior rooms, which are all individually designed, large spacious, comfortable and very pleasant

    Beautiful old chateau, well maintained, in an attractive, peaceful, rural location, close to the autoroute.

    badly designed bathroom ie huge bath, small shower cubicle taps difficult to turn on and off, very cramped WC

    "room was more than we expected large and very well furnished very clean and tidy nice touches such as bath robes and slippers food was as good as it gets well presented and very tasty good portions for al a carte over all both very happy" (97987570)

    the whole atomsphere was very relaxed and comfortable pleasure and business mixed very well staff very frendly and accepted our lack of french speeking very well food was excelent service was top rate

    It was very clean and the staff were nice, but only a few spoke english. The meal in the main resturant was excellent.

    I was really disappointed it didn't have tea and coffe making facilities in the room. We had booked a supieriour room and thought this would available to us.

    "During our arrival and afternoon, the staff were all very courteous, and service was excellent and friendly, especially in the La Robert II lounge bar, they couldn't do enough to help. The evening meal in La Robert was fantastic if a little stilted as it would seem that normal service was a little interrupted due to a large party happening onsite, the food however was excellent. A little later a disco started for the party onsite which was fine. When the part was still in full swing at one we were concerned, but at 2am, slightly unhappy we phoned reception who said it would end shortly, at 3 am it was still incredibly loud we phoned again and nothing was done. If it wasn't for the lack of sleep it would have been idyllic, in the end however due to the lack of response from reception with regards to very load noise, we didn't enjoy our stay nearly as much as we should have considering the price paid. next time perhaps we'll come here for a meal but go to a hotel Ibis down the road to sleep. At checkout we brought this up to a non reaction from staff, so quite disappointing in the end." (99112770)

    The Surroundings and environment were excellent, room was perfect, the dinner in la Robert was a joyous gastronomic experience.

    A private party was being held onsite, and unfortunately the disco went on till 3:30am, very loudly and despite complaints to reception nothing changed, this marred and otherwise perfect stay.

    "The hotel is a lovely period property with beautiful public rooms. Dinner in the main restaurant in particular is a really enjoyable experience with good food and a great atmosphere. The staff throughout the hotel were all very friendly and helpful. Food and accommodation are not cheap but do represent good value for money. The hotel is popular with Brits but still retains a very French feel to it. It is an easy 50 minute drive from Calais, is close to a motorway junction and is good choice for a gourmet weekend or as a stopover after a late ferry crossing." (99749647)

    Large period room with a large comfortable bed. The room was quiet and very clean.

    I would have liked a comfortable sofa or easy chair and tea/coffee making facilities in the room

    We have previously stayed at this hotel, on and off since 1986 and each time it is better

    No fresh flowers and a complimentary bottle of mineral water and a small fruit bowl would be welcomed

    the rooms are large and spacious. they are always clean and well decorated and very relaxing. the choice of restaurants and range of food is very good
