    "Reasonably well located if you enjoy an after dinner walk back to your hotel, quiet location with ability to open windows.Breakfast average cold buffet. A reasonable overnight stop. Saturday market." (108140532)

    Free onsite parking, helpful staff, within 10 -15 mins walk of main shops/restaurants, rooms clean.

    We had 'comfort rooms' so not the cheapest.General fixtures & fittings including bathroom old fashioned although newly painted.

    "Used hotel as a base to have dinner at Cygnet Restaurant. Location excellent. 5 minutes walk. St Omer very typical French town. Good market on saturday morning. Lots of good restaurants. " (108373135)

    St Omer is a very good destination for a short break just across the channel - a great market on Saturday morning, a nice place to walk around and have a drink in a cafe, there are good value restaurants even at todays terrible exchange rate. The Hotel Le Bretagne has been recently refurbished, its a good budget hotel and is just a 10 minute walk from the Place Victor Hugo.

    Friendly and efficient. Convenient location. Room was clean and reasonably priced.

    Hotel is obviously undergoing much needed refurbishment - general appearance of corridors and rooms is unappealing at present. Bathrooms require updating.

    wonderful staff - really kind and helpful. I wish I had got the name of the lady at the front desk - she was a delight.

    staff were very freindly and helpful, and spoke excellent english.the food was excellent (well done to the chef) and very reasonably priced. they could'nt do enough to help, even lending us they're own iron. many thanks.

    Restaurant was pleasant and food quite good though not up to the standard of previous visits several years ago. Staff were friendly and helpful.

    Rooms are advertised as having been upgraded and decorated but all areas we saw had a rather dilapidated appearance.

    Good clean Hotel with helpful staff. Breakfast staff good, and good selection of food available. Room basic, but very clean.

    Temperature of shower in bathroom was very changeable. Nearly burnt back at one instance.

    "We got no sleep and I refused to pay for the room. The hotel tried to get me to accept a 50% discount but I refused as it had been a dreadful experience. They eventually agreed to let me have the room free of charge" (97449378)

    Very basic but adequate facilities.

    Our room was directly over a dance hall where a fete was taking place. The disco was outrageously loud and we could not sleep.I complained politely but firmly and was told the music would continue until 3.00am, which it did.

    nice looking bath room. friendly staff. not expensive. nice area. clean beds.

    the light in the toilet was broken; this was immediately reported to the staff, but nothing was done. the doors didn't close. there was hair (seemed like a clut of hair) on the carpet next to the bed. the remote control of the television didn't work. the water from the shower went in all directions. the telephone was off the hook when we checked in, but we didn't need to pay that.

    "I would recommend this hotel to anyone driving through France or coming for a weekend break to France. It is easily reached from Calais/Boulogne and the staff were particularly welcoming and helpful to us. It is only a short walk to the centre of the town, bars and restaurants, and we had a fantastic meal in a small restaurant there." (97439841)

    There was nothing I disliked. However the shower did not work or was not meant to be used as a shower, only as a bath.

    "Adequate although hotel and restaurant were a little expensive" (97408708)

    Hotel clean and beds comfortable. Excellent food in restaurant.

    The first room offered wasn't acceptable - on top floor with a non-opening skylight window so room was unbearably hot. Second room was better but we had to leave the window open because of the heat which meant we were disturbed early in the morning by noise from departing golfers, businessmen and coach tour parties (our room overlooked the car park).

    Very clean, well decorated, spacious room.

    Slightly limited storage space for clothes although this would only become a problem on an extended stay.

    The fact it was in St Omer !

    The reception staff were not particularly helpful... Shower was limp. We were not warned in advance that the bar and restaurant would be closed to us due to a wedding.

    We like very little about the hotel.

    The rooms were dirty the beds old and uncomfortable the bath took over an hour to fill. The whole of the hotel was very run down smelt and dirty.

    Clean room with reasonalbe facilities for the price.

    The automatic corridor lighting only worked when arriving on the floor, not when leaving the room. If there isn't emergency lighting in the event of a fire this could be a hazard.

    Hotel is quite easy to find (self-drive). Quiet location. Staff are pleasant and helpful.

    Breakfast is expensive compared to other hotels.

    "Pleasure of stay was marred by noise outside room. Other guests returning and leaving could be heard clearly in room. Also noise of some machine below room 43 from early hours until 8pm made sleep impossible. Think we were unlucky with this room as it was above the kitchen area." (97779237)

    Within walking distance of town centre. Breakfast was adequate. Comfortable beds.

    Noise from outside room all night - sounded like constant spin programme of washing machine. Unable to get served at bar - only memeber of staff on reception computer.
