    Ease of access from the port of Boulogne and good parking facilities

    Very very noisy, mainly from the road also from other guests whom could be heard clearly going to the toilet! And not far down the road there is a bar which was also noisy, impossible to sleep...the name au sleeping must be a joke! No staff at reception when we arrived had to telephone a number to get code to enter hotel, even then no staff came to welcome us or show us to our rooms.

    Very efficient and helpful check-in.

    We had a very poor night's sleep because of some very inconsiderate guests in the room above who talked loudly all night until at least 3.30am, despite calling up to them on a number of occasions. Unfortunately they had gone by the time we left in the morning. The lady at breakfast was not unduly concerned when we reported this.

    No lift to 3rd floor, room and hotel looks tired, room too small, expensive for what it is.

    Room was very basic but clean & bright. Staff were very friendly & helpfull. Good breakfast

    Booking made through Active Hotels had not been passed on to the hotel...luckily they had one room free. Location of hotel was not great for walking back in the dark.

    "Good stay, the tabac across the road has a great bar with a lovely garden to sit in.Without the bar we may as well stay at the Etap along the street for 16 euros a night less." (97239554)

    Location is good, rooms are small but nicely done.

    The shower was terrible, I has to run between the drops to catch them. The bar has been shut since we last stayed there 6 months ago. We could not find anyone to pay the bill to for ages!

    "Room was clean and comfortable with a very good shower. The bed was very comfortable. It had large windows that could be opened for fresh air. The hotel is well located within an easy walk from the city centre with lots of shopping, restaurants, banking, etc. Our room was on top floor and there was no elevator so it was 50 stairs up on a rather narrow winding staircase. I would not want to have to carry large or heavy suitcases up to the room. We had a car and there was lots of free parking on the street at the hotel so we left most of our luggage in the car. TV selection was limited. The staff were very friendly and accomadating. We enjoyed our 4 day stay and would stay here again." (97327092)

    Hotel was clean, bed comfortable, good shower, conveniently located and free parking.

    No elevator. TV selection was quite limited. It would have been helpful to have the Check-in information posted in English as well as French when reception was unattended.

    The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was good; the breakfast room had very nice decor. Towels changed each day on our two night break.

    For us being on the third floor the stairs were a pain. The room would benefit from having air-conditioning as it was very warm.

    "This is a comfortable and very reasonably priced hotel in the centre of Boulogne and within easy walking distance of the main centres of interest. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet, and also had tea/coffee making facilities. The shower was excellent. The owners are a delightful and very friendly and helpful couple, who have made the effort to add a personal touch. The breakfast buffet was excellent value for money. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a reasonably priced hotel in Boulogne." (97244058)

    The room was clean and well equipped, and care had obviously been taken to make the room individual.

    "Do not be put off by the area, it is very quite at night, it is safe to walk back from the centre late at night and the parking is as secure as street parking gets. The staff could not be more helpful, the breakfast is OK, not the best but not the worst. Rooms are functional for one night stays and if you don't like the views use the shutters.I will definitely use this hotel again.Four good bars within 5 Min's walk for use on the way into or back from the town."     For the price paid you could not expect a great deal in the way of luxury. However basic the room was it was clean and functional, the staff were excellent and attentive.

    The only draw back is the size of the shower, if your a large person you may struggle.

    "overall i was very impressed with this hotel. There is ample free car parking The greeting/booking in was swift, some english spoken but not an indepth knowledge. The buffet breakfast was good for the price. The bar was open, but restaurant was closed, probably due to the off season. They provided alternative restaurants in the area, with the closest being 1 good 10 minute walk away, map provided. quiet night sleep, even though a bus stop was out side. would definatly use again."     The room's where clean, en-suite is clean if not abit compact for the larger person. the beds where comfortable.

    "In spite of my error in booking a single room instead of a double we were treated with courtesy and helpfulness at the reception. The single was quite adequate for both of us and most comfortable. We had helpful advice in choosing a restaurant and the map given to us gave us very good instructions to get to the ferry which is close by. The breakfast was very good and the service cheerful.It is an excellent overnight stop which we will certainly use again." (99531578)
