    "due to poor exchange rate(pound/euro) quite expensive to eat out/drink. the street that the hotel is on the corner of is a one way but if you can get to it, it is free to park. " (107943598)

    clean and friendly hotel, helpful staff, english speaking reception, hotel is a 10 min walk from the town centre and about half an hour from the beach.

    The Hotel was an excellent price for a clean room with a great shower and a bright light in the bathroom (which meant you could shave accurately). Brekafast was also excellent value for perfect French bread.

    "I needed to get away and relax following a bout of ill health and that is exactly what I was able to do. Nothing was a problem." (107765148)

    Friendly, English speaking staff. Room size adequate and clean if not a bit 1970'in decor, hottest hotel showers I have come across in years. Plenty of choice on the continental breakfast. Gave us an adapter to charge mobile phone.

    No bar, although their partner restaurant is only a few doors away and you do get a discount on a meal.

    Generally a cheap clean hotel

    The breakfast was not very good. Coffee from a vending machine,orange juice with a slight "tang" to it and a toaster but no bread to make toast. On another occasion I would eat breakfast elsewhere.

    Friendly staff

    The room was freezing. When we asked about the heating the "friendly" member of staff said she was "désolé", tapping her watch to imply that we shouldn't need a warm room at 10 pm. The lobby was boiling hot. We slept in our clothes including coats (March 28th!). There were also no amenities such as a kettle for tea or coffee. Also despite the fact that the hotel knew where we had parked, no-one told us that the road all around the hotel would be closed the next day as there was a race going on.

    secure parking at locked overnight garage across street. nice breakfast.

    staff carrying dirty bed sheets in their hands and sharing lift with us. limited tv channels. non smoking room still smell of tobacco.

    Hotel is well situated, the breakfast is extremely good and the hotel staff are excellent.

    Great location close to lots of bars, restaurants and all the towns shops, friendly staff, nice and quiet at night and a good breakfast in the morning uptil 11am !!

    "The hotel is centrally located in the heart of Calais.Parking if you are lucky is just outside the Hotel or just up the road at the shopping centre at a reasonable rate." (107260652)

    Friendly staff who spoke good English and were very helpful with any queries we had. Breakfast excellent with plenty of choices to eat.

    Slightly disappointed that you could not get a drink at the bar unless you ordered food,but no food was available.

    Price good. Atmosphere good. Breakfast included is an appreciated feature and good quality.

    Evidence of a small amount of sooty mould in rooms used. Seagull noise nuisance early in the morning.

    Kept clean, room was tiedied and beds made, clean towls each day, Very friendly staff, Always greeted by a smile from the staff. A good selection of Breakfast and Drinks.

    check in was excellent - reception spoke really good English and made us feel really welcome - she also told us when breakfast was and where. Rooms was nice and it was nice to have all the beds made up. The bedrooms were big and the bathroom was nice and big but no shower screen so the floor got a bit wet

    No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. There seemed to be a few bits missing from the bedroom looked like things had been taken from the room. There was not shower screen so the floor got a bit wet.

    The welcome was very nice. There was no rush and we were looked after.

    The room we had the bathroom had a funny smell but by the morning time the snell had disappeared.

    "Slightly difficult to identify with a late evening arrival - hotel said only Hotel - no name as expected - and no real drop off point. The secure parking 2 mins away was suitable and acceptable." (97900728)

    It provided exactly what was required for our overnight stay and as was stated would be available plus courteous and helpful staff,comfortable facilities and adequate breakfast.

    Good central location, inexpensive

    The hotel was dirty and grimy, predominant smell of vomit in reception area, human hair in my cheese at breakfast, elevator malfunction - refused to stop on floor 5 - had to use filthy stairs instead (more vomit smell). I didnt complain - it would have been pointless considering the condition of the place was so obvious. (how can anyone sit in a reception area that smelled of vomit and not notice?)

    Hotel receptionist very helpful and freindly Hotel was central to everything breakfast excellent. secure parking just across the road

    we asked for a smoking room which was a bit dingy and there was a big cigarette burn in the carpet. and no ashtray was provided.the bedroom doors had self closers on them we were woken up at 6-30 am by a door slamming. The name of the hotel was not anywhere to be seen outside the hotel .
