  "Lack of welcome and assistance from reception and receptionist made it a less pleasant stay. Would not stay at hotel until there was a change in attitude of the receptionist to be more helpful and available" (107182000)

  Very fresh croissants, colour selection and design of the room was highly commendable

  NO welcome at reception and had to wait checking in and checking out.Most disappointing was breakfast as no cereals,yogurt laid out. NOt good value for money breakfast

  "This is a beautiful place in a beautiful setting and obviously a lot of work has gone into making it such. It is therefore a disappointment that the standards of service, and welcome do not match the concept of the hotel. This could be an exceptional place but it needs someone to manage it who has a feel for the place and a professional understanding of how to manage customer service in detail - so many opportunities to create a superb place but in our case, all missed" (97322855)

  Beautiful setting in the chateau vineyard. The house itself is very nice with a swimming pool and terrace.

  Poor reception, no information, no sense of welcome - the staff were pleasant enough but very amateur. The menu does not cater for vegetarians and judging by the reaction to a request, the chef does not want to. We were supposed (I think) to tell them daily whether we wanted breakfast, but we were not told this or in fact anything else which might have been useful. The only information at the reception desk, was focused on what you must not do e.g. You must not wash or iron any clothes in your room (but not how you could get washing or ironing done) ?? There was a quite good swimming pool but when I asked, I was told that they did not supply towels (maybe this was a swimming pool for not swimming in ?) but when pressed, said I could use the towels in the room for the first day only - we then bought our own. The room, which was called a 'STYLE' room, had a broken wardrobe which could not be shut properly, was very pokey and has a toilet which leaks from the water supply if you move on the seat.

  Beautiful location and property. Very good meal. A nice welcome and good service. Clean pleasant and comfortable room.

  Steep stone stairs were a bit of an unexpected challenge for my elderly father.
