    "Hotel Tardif was well run and excellent value for money. The breakfast was very good value for 8 euros each(coffee, hot chocolate, fresh croissants, breads, jams, yoghurt, cereal, meats and cheeses AND fresh fruit). We have been travelling through France for over a month and it was one of the best." (108544712)

    Fantastic location: close to Bayeux Tapestry and Notre Dame Cathedral; great value breakfast for 8 euros (much better than local restuarants); good choice restuarants nearby for dinners; Hotel Tardif was very relaxing and quiet, with good wifi access.

    None really, except there was only one bedside lamp as the tv was beside the bed.I presume that would not be typical of all rooms as there were many different ones as ours was one of the smallest.

    "We loved staying at the Hotel Tardif! We were so impressed when we drove up to the hotel at how beautiful it was and how well maintained the grounds and gardens were. When we walked inside the hotel, we were amazed at how beautifully it was decorated and how clean it felt. We loved Anthony, the owner/son of the owner. He helped us with our bags and gave us great advice around Bayeux. Anthony made us a reservation at a wonderful restaurant that we will never forget. We ate breakfast both mornings at this hotel and loved the food and the service. It felt like we were welcomed into someone's home and well taken care of. We all have very high standards for cleanliness and this hotel far exceeded our expectations in all categories! " (108644488)

    We loved staying here. It is very serene, immaculate and maintained with loving care. Our room was huge and had a very large updated bath. There are wonderful touches throughout. The owner was incredibly friendly and desired to please.

    "We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived until we left at Le Tardif. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner, Anthony, who was able to recommend local places of interest and eateries. We would definitely stay here again. " (108841566)

    Great location, and on booking were provided with easy to follow directions to get there. Both room and rest of hotel were extremely clean and everything you would want for a weekend break stay was available.

    The bedroom and bathroom were both very spacious and beautifully decorated, as was the rest of the building. Onsite parking was a huge plus.

    Charming house, beautifully furnished - The owner was very welcoming, flexible and helpful. Within a short walk of restaurants and sights in Bayeux. Delicious breakfast was served.

    Experience would have been improved by: Refreshment tray in room. Better quality towels (the ones provided were old, thin and did not match)- felt inappropriate to the overall style, quality and cost of the accommodation.

    Gracious greeting. Our Room was pure luxury, spacious and airy, overlooking a pretty garden. Husband said he felt like on of the King Louie's. This was a tranquil retreat. The bathroom was almost as big as our bedroom in the Paris apartment we rented. We were very close to all significant points in Bayeux. Good recommendation for dinner in Bayeux.

    A very minor point, for such a beautiful guesthouse, better towels would complete the excellent experience

    Lovely atmosphere, relaxing place, great internet access. Handy location.

    Little things - like not having the soap and shower gels replaced each day - so we ran out and had to ask for more. Even after asking for more no more were given so had to wash with shampoo as no one was available the last two occasions when we needed shower gel. Sad to stay in such a lovely place and have little things like this skimmed on. We had some items that we needed refrigerating (including gel pack for an injury)- sadly when we went to get them on the first two occasions they were warm - not good for the pate nor the milk. Thought after the first occasion the need for the items to be cool would be understood, but we lost a litre of freshly bought milk over night. So we had to throw the nice brie and pate we had purchased for a picnic lunch out. It seemed the need to use a fridge was not appreciated.

    Beautiful property both inside and out - rooms furnished with antique furniture - very clean and comfortable, the grounds are perfectly kept. Excellent location but very quiet concidering it is in the town centre and offers car parking which is a huge bonus. Hospitality could not be faulted - received a very warm, polite and friendly welcome.

    "From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, Anthony, was helpful and saw to all our general needs including directions where needed, restaurant recommendations and tips for enhancing our stay.     "It was like staying at a villa and treated like a VIP. My wife and I were totally pleased. I took many pictures of the hotel, the grounds and even the staff. How many people do that when they travel? " (107336094)

    The Hotel Tardif made my wife and me feel like home. The grounds outside our door had a beautiful garden. It had off the street secured gated space for the car. And the greeting by the staff was very very cordial. I would come back here again if I have the opportunity. Being American, I saw the hotel on the internet and liked what I saw and liked what I got when I arrived.
