  "I would recommend it to anyone who was prepared to stay out of the city to save significantly" (108957866)

  Clean, spacious, easy access to the S-Bahn (30 minutes to the city centre). Staff were very helpful to store our bags for the day before we took a late flight out from the Airport

  Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment. Food was cold and stocks were low. This might have been caused by a large children's group that eat just before us, but it was none the less a disappointmetn. Second morning we skipped breakfast at the hotel and caught something in the city.

  Chambre tres grande, comfortable, douche super, lits comfortables (mais separes),

  Je ne comprends pas pourquoi en Allemagne il n'y a pas des lits doubles. On doit toujours ajouter deux lits ensemble... Restaurant pas superclasse, mais ca va. Le quartier est un peu isole, surtout quand il y a des travaux sur la ligne de metro.

  "It is a bit out in the boon docks, but the S9 Grunbergerallee station is only 200 yards away and takes you straight into the centre of Berlin" (107159839)

  Staff are very friendly and helpful and a good selection of weizen beers

  there is no same day laundry service (or even next day!)

  clean, professional, easy to find (great if you have come into Berlin on an evening flight)

  If you are coming out of the S-Bahn station, the hotel is actually on right, not left (as stated on the booking.com pro-forma). 'Left' applies only to arrivals by car. Hotels on European mainland can never be quite as good as British ones because in-room coffee/ tea-making facility is not offered. May be universal (French Campanile is an exception).

  Comfortable bed, near airport for early flight. Also put on curtesy travel to airport. Nice breakfast.

  Nothing to dislike. Could have done with more than 1 lift.

  Very spacious room with all necessary facilities.

  "As we were in Berlin for just two days to help one sister complete a study project at Tierpark Zoo, the hotel was ideal. We wanted a hotel either near the airport with easy links to Tierpark or in the Tierpark area. Quick, easy access to the city centre for sightseeing was an added bonus. This hotel was ideal. Most other hotels did not cater for 3 adults sharing a room, thus pushing the price higher." (99244395)

  The spaciousness of a three room for adults (3 sisters!) Convenience and proximity to the airport The very efficient provision of being met at the airport (late evening) and speedy transfer to the hotel - free! The excellent breakfast at a very competetive price (not included in the booking). Having a fridge in which to store our own drinks/snacks. The helpfulness of the staff re public transport. The nearness and efficiency of local transport linking the hotel with the city centre,the airport and other areas of the city.

  A few lights did't work. No provision for tea/coffee making. (There was a 2-ring electric cooker and a sink on the balcony but they were not connected!!!)
