  Ringhotel Jensen was in an excellent location, in the older part of the hanseatic city Lubeck. The building itself is old, and as someone who appreciates history, it was very nice to see that they have kept the main structure of the building intact as it was. We enjoyed a suite that faced to the walk street and the Holstentor Gate, the view was fantastic. Cafes, restaurants, and small shops are all within short walking distance from the hotel entrance. Dinner at the downstairs restaurant was some of the best food I've tasted, and the red wine was the best red wine I've ever had (I've had many!).

  We had difficulties (for some reason) finding the hotel. We did have GPS and it did get us there, but the signs were, for some reason, not obvious to us until later. Also, the suite we rented for the night that faced the front (Holstentor Gate) was just above the hotel restaurant, and so it can be somewhat noisy at night when people may be eating outside during nice weather. However, the noise dies down around 11pm, probably when the restaurant closes.

  "A map to show how close this hotel is the city centre would have been handy as the hotel is very close and was a real benefit. The hotel is easy walking distance of all the attractions and is walking distance to the station if you want a trip to Hamburg which is aprox an hour away. All the staff speak excellent english and the food in the restaurant is beautiful." (97608360)

  Was adequate for our stopover stay - hotel was in the very centre of the city - easy access to everywhere

  there was very little not to like - the reception was very helpful and the hotel offered access to internet
