  "Hotel staff were generally helpful but if we were in superior double rooms I would hate to visualise the size of their comfort double rooms ." (97003978)

  Clean and reasonably friendly

  We booked and paid for 3 superior rooms but we were very disappointed at the size and facilities in the room itself.

  "Plus d indication sur les sorties d autoroutes à prendre pour parvenir à l hotel, en provenance de France , ce qui était mon cas, car meme avec le gps je me suis retrouvé dans un faubourg de Bergame portant le meme nom de rue, et j ai du chercher plus d'1 heure mon chemin, alors que j étais arrivé."   Nice Flatscreen LCD TV and its cable selection with both italian and english tone tracks for the movies. Excellent fit and finish in the room and bath. Closet space first rate.

  My assigned room had a temperature of 27 Degree C when I entered it. Turning off and on of the heater did not really stop the heat. The staff were prompt in my complaint, however; they could not resolve the problem. The standard hours timer did eventually shut off the heat. To be able to bear the heat, I had to open the patio door. This was only a problem, in that there was a spot light shinning directly into the room from outside, creating a daylight effect in the room. On my second night, I got clever and covered the outside light, allowing deeper sleep.

  "This was our first visit to Italy and having travelled to many other countries and stayed in many hotels, we would say that Capello D'Oro and Bergamo far exceeded our expectations. Nothing seemed too much for the staff who were always polite and not arrogant as we have found on other occasions." (97854845)

  The staff were very friendly and helpful from reception who advised us on local sites and amenities to the restaurant staff who were extremely courteous

  "Wonderful night in Bergamo as a stop over en route to Lake Garda. Fabulous breakfast but one small negative comment - please do something about the breakfast coffee!! It was absolutely terrible." (99228936)

  The location was perfect for our visit with a regular bus service to other parts of the City right outside Hotel. The reception area and staff were very inviting and very clean. The rooms were very clean and comfortable.

  If I had to make a negative comment it would have to be that the breakfast area was a little muddled with no real organisation as food ran out fairly quickly but was very slowly replaced and sometimes not at all. The rooms were very hot at night but due to its central location to open the windows meant we were woken early by busy traffic.

  "no.1 bus stop outside hotel for airport,every 30 mins.1euro 65 cents one way.Hotel centrally located,funicular to old city 500 metres approx,overall an enjoyable 3 days, will definately come back to this hotel." (99321941)
