  "Good hotel which has been improved since last visit which offers good value for money. Great position for the main square, shops, restaurants and bars. Bus outside direct to fair. Good conncection for airport too." (108245997)

  "Great location and value for money. Breakfast was good but not excellent. Staff were generally friendly, a few a little grumpy. I would definitely stay there again." (97125069)

  "Albergo Centrale is well located for seeing all the sights of Bologna. The rooms are clean and quiet, although with the window open, Ugo Bassi (a busy street below the hotel) is a bit noisy. The staff was, for the most part, pleasant and helpful. Although the staff spoke some English, we had one member of our group that spoke fluent Italian. This helped tremendously when there were a couple of issues that came up regarding minor problems with our reservation." (97094580)

  the location was excellent for seeing all the sights of Bologna.

  There were a couple members of the staff that were not as pleasant as the rest.

  "The room and facilities were more or less as expected. Even the high price was expected as hotel prices in Bologna are pushed too high during this event period and the price was competitive compared to others. Overall the good position and friendly service made it a good place to stay and compared to others it was value for money. It needs soem modernisation adn internet access would be good for the business traveller but these may push prices up." (97605646)

  Very good central position within easy walk of main areas. Friendly service.

  Could do with modernisation and price was very high due to the dates.

  "Albergo Centrale is in a excelent location near Piazza Nettuno. The atmosphere of the hotel was very pleasant. Our room was good - clean with a good bathroom. We checked in quite late but that was no problem for the helpful staff. Checking out was also fine. Our requests were all fulfilled in a friendly manner. I'd recommend Abergo Centrale" (97069346)

  The staff were very helpful and the atmosphere was very good.

  Some of the mirrors in the beautiful lift were scratched - a pity.

  The central location

  Current renovation works to the main stairway of the building of which the hotel occupied floors 4, 5 and 6 made hampered access. However, this is a temporary problem and, no doubt, when this work is finished access will be better than before the work started.
