  "We loved Lucca. While the rooms were adequate it was not the kind of place we wanted to spend time at other than to sleep and leave. There was no lobby and the receptionist was only available during very limited hours each day. Parking within the walls was very, very expensive. Finding the hotel was difficult." (97747725)

  Centrally located in the centro storico of Lucca.

  No elevator. There was a bar right across from the hotel which played extremely loud music from about 7 p.m., to 11 p.m., but quit right on the dot, which was a relief. The rooms were dark but adequate. Our group included two persons over the age of 80, so the stairs and no elevator was an issue. Breakfast came with the room but the hours were so limited that we never used the breakfast vouchers at the restaurant next door.

  "We really liked Lucca. It is a budget hotel and seems like a budget hotel. Some budget hotels have charm. This one did not, but was an acceptable place to stay. Some paint and extra touches could have provided charm. If the price was right, we would probably stay there again" (97524619)

  The hotel is in a great location. A decent ( though not lavish ) continental breakfast was included with the rate. It was a basically clean, good sized room with a comfortable bed. The rate was good.

  While the floor in the room had obviously been swept and washed, it could use some type of power washing. Some reviewers complain of noise from the cafe next door. WE did not have a problem, although we heard a little noise from about 9:00 unti 10:00 P.M. It was not enough to bother us. Our stay was midweek during April. There is no elevator, but we were aware of this. The directions to the hotel did not include directions for walking from the train station.

  "Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis absolut in Ordnung!" (97255646)

  die gute,zentrale Lage, Personal seh freundlich

  Das Frühstück für 7€ p.P. war grottenschlecht und nicht genügend für 2 Personen (wenn es geschmeckt hätte)! Guter Rat, kein Frühstück dort buchen, sondern in der Stadt wo es zahlreiche Cafe-Bars gibt,die die besten Paninis für wenig Geld verkaufen, und der Cafe (Espresso) oder Cappuccino für 0,80€ oder 1,10€ der absolute Knaller!!!

  Scaffolding outside of window gave access to room from street.
