  Excellent staff, superb room, beautiful surroundings. An unbeatable experience, I would recommend this hotel to everyone (and only 250 metres to the site at Herculaneum)

  "We picked this hotel because it offered sound-proofed rooms and we wanted a good night's sleep between 2 days of travelling. We went to bed at 10.30 but couldn't sleep until 1am because there was a wedding with full jazz band playing right outside our windows, then fireworks. We had planned to get up early to see the ruins at Herculaneum before it got too hot, but because we got up later we had to abandon the visit half-way through because of the mid-day heat. This was a much more expensive hotel than others I looked at nearby but I was prepared to pay more for what I expected to be a peaceful location - we spent £550 for the 3 rooms and dinner for 4. I feel the hotel, seeing that I had requested sound-proofed rooms should either have made sure we were given rooms on the other side of the hotel away from the event (there were none available by the time I went to reception to say that we couldn't sleep), or warned us that there would be such a noisy event taking place that night.   Large, chic rooms and pleasant view over park.

  No information about hotel facilities etc in the room, no shower in the double room. Waited a long time to check in while the one member of staff on duty (at 6pm)took a lengthy phone call. In general the attitude of staff was disinterested.

  "Utterly fantastic - stay here and pamper yourself whilst seeing the Amalfi Coast sights" (107206345)

  Utterly superb hotel with fine attention to detail. Every aspect of our stay was just excellent. The staff were so attentive and helpful. Facilities in the huge room were fantastic and the view over the bay of Naples was stunning. We travelled from Rome and stayed overnight at the Miglio D'Oro to see the Herculaneum ruins. Having paid extortionate prices in Rome the value for money offered by this hotel was amazing. We had an excellent dinner with champagne aperitif's and lashings of local Vesuvian wine for just

  Shame it is let down by the condition of the surrounding town which is run down. The large hotel gardens are really nice though.

  "most enjoyable stay, lovely hotel" (97143580)

  lovely bedrooms. staff friendly and helpful especially the concierge who spoke good english. good idea to have mini bar with cold drinks as weather was very hot.also good secure parking. excellent resteraunt.

  was very noisy due to a party in the courtyard outside underneath our bedroom window on one occasion until nearly 2am so had very little sleep.also difficulty communicating with staff as only one spoke english.

  Easy to get to local sites, comfortable.

  3rd bed not very comfortable. Limited number of staff spoke English and sometimes difficult to find any staff when needed
