  staff friendly, though incompetent

  70 euros in taxis from airport to hotel and back despite claims that the hotel is only 3 kms away on website (actually 12 kms) - booked a twin room and it took the receptionist 3 attempts to get it right

  "We were only staying one night, so the area didn't matter. However, the welcome in the hotel would normally have made it an attractive place to stay for longer." (97017522)

  Although we arrived very late, due to airline problems, we received the warmest of welcomes from the night porter, who also went out of his way to make us some sandwiches and a drink. It was a very pleasant end to an awful day.

  "The hotel is on a desolate industrial estate next to the S96 autostrada and has the overall feel externally of a building either facing demolition or refurbishment. The swimming pool is in the process of being filled in and partially packed with builder's rubble. The accommodation is fine although small rooms but basic and comforable and the breakfast was good." (99973652)

  Well presented and nicely designed facility internally.

  In the middle of nowhere about 5km from Bari centre with no public transport links. Only accessible by very expensive local taxis and even more expensive hotel shuttle car. Hotel refuses to book local taxis only their car. 40 Euros for 4 people for a 20 minute journey when local taxi charged 25 (32 at night). An alledged 'flood' meant many guests were transferred to another hotel 8km from Bari, past the airport and no compensation for additional transport costs. Was a fight with reception for travelling group to remain in the same building. Despite the 'flood' a room was found but many others not so lucky.
