  "DO NOT stay here until the security is increased. IF you do, DO NOT EVER leave ANYTHING in your room of value, even to go to the next room. A man in the next building got his laptop stolen at the same time as we had our camera stolen, and he was also at dinner. Obviously someone was watching for us to leave and just popped our doors open. OR it is an inside job. One way or the other, it is not safe to stay there. There is no deadbolt on the door, and the only security cameras are on the gate to the place and the front parking lot. This incident pretty much ruined the whole rest of our trip in Italy and Germany, as we had no camera to take pictures. Twelve thumbs down (6 of us stayed)." (99606953)

  Clean, good food

  Staff was very unfriendly, and at times downright rude. Security was not even a thought here, as you could get into every room with a business card (slip it in the lock) and our brand new digital camera got stolen from our room within an hour of checkin when we were at dinner in the restaurant. The hotel did nothing for us except call the police, who only said we could go and make a formal complaint at the police station, and we were not about to waste half a day Rome at the police station.
