  "We had an enjoyable short break in the company of similarly minded, friendly guests from different countries. Friendly, helpful staff with a good breakfast included, let down only by the mueseli which, because it wasn't in an airtight container, was soft. " (107599628)

  The proximity to St Peter's was it's greatest asset and for that I would recommend it to anyone. The views from the terrace, whilst excellent, were not as good as suggested as guests are not allowed access to the majority of the terrace. The staff were friendly and keen to help. It was wonderful to see some of the original Roman pillars exposed on the ground floor.

  The building was formerly a monastery and perhaps in keeping with a pilgrimage, it was a little small and spartan - the shower in particular. Having said that it was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was rather noisy at night with scooters and cars bibbing their horns for long periods which one felt were not associated with traffic. We wanted a triple room, which we could see was available, but were unable to book it on-line so had to book over the telephone. Rather limited toiletries in the room.
