  "The place has atmosphere and is convenient, but could be so much better with just a little more effort to make the guests feel welcome. " (107773557)

  The hotel was very peaceful and being able to sit outside in the evening with a plastic cup of wine (we had brought the bottle back from the restaurant)

  The air conditioning did not work - no warning and in the morning were told it was because it was not yet June! As a stand alone unit it was had to believe although many folk also complained. The rate included breakfast but we were leaving early so got nothing - not even the offer of a packet of biscuits from the table. There are no facilities for eating or drinks - apart from a drinks machine. A coffee machine or kettle to help yourself would have been nice - or even some proper cups, glasses and a corkscrew if you wanted to bring a bottle or have a drink in the evening ....

  Simple room, good shower/WC, excellent breakfast (the best in all hotels visited this year)lovely setting, secure parking.

  Difficult location to find, a bit off the beaten track.

  Excellent breakfast, lots of variety, great coffee and juices. Pretty cloisters, peaceful.

  "This is a wonderful, quiet hotel off the beaten path in Pisa. As a former convent, it's beautiful in its austere simplicity. The staff was pleasant and helpful. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a lovely and peaceful hotel during their stay in Pisa." (97139550)

  The fact that it was formerly a convent. The staff was helpful and pleasant.

  The location was a bit farther than expected from the attractions we wished to visit while in Pisa.

  "Vraiment un bel hotel rien que pour son cadre magnifique! Chambre simple et épurée mais qui sait rester confortable avec une jolie salle de bain" (97771256)

  Tres bel hotel dans un vieux couvent, le cadre est magnifique. Doit être encore plus sympa le soir l'été! Jolie chambre style épuré monacal mais charmante

  "Would have liked to have been able to get a hot or cold drink on the site. There was a hot drink vending machine in reception, but we had no change and were told there was none available. We were advised there was a bar just up the road, where we could get some change." (97023425)

  Very good value for money and an interesting place to stay

  It was too hot in the room, but the heating could not be turned off. Had to have windows open, but the gravel paths are quite noisy with people coming and going what seemed like all night.

  Setting of the hotel, breakfast, location

  Rooms a bit plain - it was an old monastery but nevertheless it was a bit spartan.

  "first visit was to a nicely situated first floor room. i rebooked a room seven days later whilst in siena and we were given a room in an annex overlooking the rear car park. the shower in both room was too small to use comfortably and safely. paint finishes were not washable and areas of wall and door surfaces around handles and switches were stained. cleanliness was fine generally. linen etc was v clean" (99648055)

  Vey clean hotel with helpful and polite staff along with a good breakfast

  Could not check in before one.30pm, although staff did everything possibe to allow us to get in the room early
